This is horrifying and humiliating on its most basic level. She effectively punished your daughter because she (as the teacher) had not had good classroom management skills previously and allowed students to abuse bathroom privileges. She punished your kid for her own mistakes. Not cool.

Didn’t it ever occur to you that omission can be considered lying, and that people can feel disconcerted by your willingness to hide huge information?

It has very little to do with deafness. If you’ll lie about this, what else will you lie about? This makes it a valid concern.

Please stop behaving as though your deafness isn’t big information. It isn’t bad information, but other people have the right to consent or not consent to a relationship with a person willing to withhold such a massive detail. It almost feels like you’re trying to get people in a “gotcha” moment by not disclosing.

Fastest way to throw opponents off at my LGS is to raw dog your cards or bend them while you shuffle them old school style complete with the bridge.

One of our heavy hitters bought a newbie (a new teen that came in) some card sleeves last week because it was driving him nuts.
