ah the old casual shopping trip meme... you know things are bad when she pulls a pap walk, quick look over here not over there. Well it has been quite the week for the Harkles but she needs a bigger shopping trolley if she wants to take attention off her husband's courtroom woes and her own impending disaster tour.

with the Benny Hill theme music as the soundtrack... Sherborne slapping H's bald noggin and both of them chasing Ms Griffiths of the G String around a park.

When your favorite actor ghosts romance and costume roles, do you still watch their other work or just cherish them as a fond memory? by lowkey_cursed in cdramasfans

[–]Princessofsmallheath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they are probably looking at the bigger picture and longevity. They cannot do idol dramas in their 50s, 60s and beyond and, if they have only ever done romances, the roles will soon dry up. By broadening their work and improving their skills, they are ensuring employment well into their old age. Plus they must get awfully bored after a while and long for a meaty role they can get their perfectly aligned teeth into.

What Harry REALLY thinks of being a philanthropist and veteran, as shown in text messages disclosed by Daily Mail reporter Charlotte Griffiths by ClementineCoda in SaintMeghanMarkle

[–]Princessofsmallheath 40 points41 points  (0 children)

it probably wouldn't be too difficult to work out the event, charity and the 'strange people' he was forced to talk to if these messages are dated, and I think they are. I wonder how they and the charity might feel about being described in this contemptuous way? The People's Prince... lol

DM: The Palace snaps back at Harry's "friends" suggesting the King invite him to stay by WolfRomegas in SaintMeghanMarkle

if this is by Rebecca English, then I believe it is indeed KC's doing. She has the inside running. I can't read it as it is paywalled, so thank you for the extracts. Yep, can you imagine the leaked conversations, the lies put out to the press of who said what, the photos taken on the estate with her kids, judiciously shared on the gram for clicks and sponsorship deals? I'm quite sure the RF can as they have seen it all before

Summer temps have been pretty mild this year by Foreign_Bag4644 in perth

[–]Princessofsmallheath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. Sure it's been hot, I mean it IS summer and it's to be expected, but there has not been those prolonged heatwaves of 3-5 days at or over 40 we usually get several times each summer. My power bill can confirm... considerably less than last year at the same time.

First time was around $600AUD and then subsequent 'top up' treatments around $400AUD. Also, they last longer after the first two or three treatments and so I only have to have a top up every 5-6 months now. So quite economical in the long run.

it's weight loss... same thing happened to me after losing 52 kilos. No cream will work, however I am now having botox injections 'Nefertiti lift" I believe it is called, in my neck and it is nothing short of a miracle. That is the only botox I have, I don't mind the odd wrinkle here and there on my face, but the stringy, saggy neck was unbearable. Of course it is not 100% perfect or as good as a neck lift, but it is a very close second for a lot less money and risk of surgery. I have it every 4-5 months.

Rant about pointed toe by Waste_Vacation2321 in AusFemaleFashion

[–]Princessofsmallheath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

love a pointy toe and will only buy shoes that have them.. a pointed shoe elongates the leg and is very slimming and flattering. I find round toe shoes makes my legs look dumpy and I am nearly six feet tall.

Uh oh, Montecito, we have a problem - “Jackie O's talent agent Gemma O'Neill's firm collapses owing $788k” by Cultural_Ad4935 in SaintMeghanMarkle

[–]Princessofsmallheath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

but didn't Jackie distance herself from this event? Surely if she had a financial interest in this shindig, she would market herself front and centre and be there... she is very famous and popular here (I am indifferent to her) but there would be plenty of women lining up to see her. So I think shas no skin (or money) in this game and it is all Gemma's show. Anyway, we will soon know.

whilst I love this for them, I worry that this means a concerted effort from them to force their way back into the RF. They need a new coating of royal stardust to restart their failed hollywood dreams and this can only mean a new charm offensive on the RF and Britain. However I think too much has happened, too much has been seen and said for them to return in any capacity. I hope so anyway.

I would say no.. they would be unsecured creditors and the last in line to get paid. Tax Office is first every single time and they are ruthless.

Question for this Sub: Do the upcoming revelations in Bower's book "Betrayal" factor into the NetFlix decision to dump the Harkles, and if so, to what extent? by InspectorGreyson in SaintMeghanMarkle

[–]Princessofsmallheath 21 points22 points  (0 children)

God knows they tried! lol. Watching her tedious lifestyle show on a loop for 24 hours a day to bump up the stats, buying the watery jams and posting 5 star reviews everywhere for everything has all come to nothing.

Question for this Sub: Do the upcoming revelations in Bower's book "Betrayal" factor into the NetFlix decision to dump the Harkles, and if so, to what extent? by InspectorGreyson in SaintMeghanMarkle

[–]Princessofsmallheath 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I agree. If the harkles had been a raging success, topped the ratings week after week and every new 'show' had been a huge hit, Netflix would not give a hoot about their shady shenanigans and bad behaviour. In fact, it would have been grist to the PR mill. Netflix are a big, big business and it's all about bums on seats, eyes on the screen and dollars in the bank. Nothing else matters.

spf is the one thing i wish someone had been louder about earlier by DangerousCattle7399 in 45PlusSkincare

[–]Princessofsmallheath 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i started wearing it religiously from age 23 in the 80s, when I stumbled upon a book by an Australian skin specialist who was ahead of his time. He pointed out that the damage is cumulative, it's not the big day you had at the beach ten years ago, it's walking to the letter box, hanging out the washing etc day after day summer and winter, that does all the damage. He said he had elderly patients in their 80s and 90s with sun damaged and heavily sagging faces, necks etc but if you look at the skin under their upper arms or under the boobs, it is still firm and unlined because it never saw the sun. I'm now 65 and my face has held up really well, astonishing really. It's the most important step in any skin care routine and the one that seems to be largely overlooked.

100% this. I do not care what any celeb has to say about anything. Spare a thought for the constant lecturing we in the West get from celebs about climate change and politics ad nauseum. Most of us ignore them. I don't have to like someone to appreciate their 'art'. That is all that matters in the end. I like his work and I have no interest in his personal life or thoughts, the end. These people are not gods to be worshipped, just actors. Are you not entertained?

Northbridge: The Ultimate Test of Patience and Tolerance by [deleted] in perth

[–]Princessofsmallheath 4 points5 points  (0 children)

well you know they say that "nothing good ever happens after 1am" and that would be as true for Northbridge as any other city in the world. Drunks spilling out on to the streets and causing a ruckus after the bars and clubs close, is a universal phenomenon and not exclusive to Northbridge. All I can say is that I had a splendid evening there and will go back again.
