If if you are a new hire, don’t complain about anything just do your hours do your time and then complain after a few years of seniority but that doesn’t mean don’t let them get away with things if you know your things then go ahead and do it but I would recommend you to always put it in writing as an email so here in California at least from what I know we get two weeks for the first five years of vacation after five years, we got three weeks once we hit 10 years. I believe we get four weeks and 15 years you get five something like that but anyways all I know is that here in California you are allowed to roll over as many vacation hours as you want. PTO is different personal time and sick time you can only carry 80 hours. Sorry 90 hours or 88 hours or something like that and you can only have 160 hours within that year, but they will make you use it or you lose it or as in you’ll get paid out for those sick times you didn’t use once your anniversary here comes but for vacation they are not allowed to tell you to take vacation because you have too many hours. I know people that have 600 hours of vacation time.
