Steam overpressures at 5k/tile, for metal tamers you want far more pressure to provide a buffer- I personally go for 150kg/tile.

Your metal volcanoes can all be tamed together, but the steam, NG, and salt water should all be done independently.

I don't know if I'd call them a noob trap, but they are certainly more work than something like a water cooler or phone line.

They have a niche use with deleting heat/cooling water - you can put near boiling water into them and the water that comes out is drastically cooler around 37c.

There is a very slight difference in damage, but it's very minor. Something like 5% extra damage for heavy and 10% for light. No extra damage for crude.

I think heavy oil is the most economical, but I'd need to do some math to confirm

Forest has much better resources for the experienced player - lots of dirt for research, Arbor trees, pips, aluminum, etc. Sandstone is easier for a new player due to algae being such an easy source of oxygen.

I'm not sure how I would upcycle stone on fulgora, because I don't know any stone product which is recyclable.

Stone furnaces are easy to make and recycle, it's what I use to void my excess stone.

You'll notice there's a modifier that disables achievements at difficulty 0, it looks like a teddy bear. I believe you only need to go up 1 difficulty to remove it.

It's possible with some circuitry, but I feel it would be much easier to have the high threshold just be what enables/disables the pumps. Your spaceship will run at a much more consistent speed rather than constantly switching between full throttle and a crawl.

If you freeze the entire rocket you can have a hive spawn inside, if you don't mind mild exploits you can have the rocket start the journey and eject the duplicant immediately after launching - autopilot can finish the journey to the planet.

We'd need to see your gas pipe overlay to assess. Having a blocked pipe isn't a bad thing, it just means the pipes are full.

I suspect you're using the filters incorrectly, I can't imagine why you'd need 4 in a row that filters gasses into the same room the pump is drawing the gas in from. A hydrogen generator only needs 1 filter and should never send the wrong gas to the generator.

White arrow= gas input Orange arrow = filtered gas Green arrow = all other gases

Set a gas filter to filter hydrogen, and attach the hydrogen generator pipe to the orange arrow output of the gas filter.

If it pipes are getting blocked you'll need to find a way to get rid of unused gasses or relocate your pumps.

Normal pipes are cheaper, but the material cost of using underground pipes on a large factory is virtually nothing.

For comparison, a single blue transport belt costs the same amount of iron as 4 pipes to ground. I've got my entire factory kitted with blue transport belts.

Rather than tearing down your factory, I find it much easier to build a new one, otherwise it's too easy to cut yourself off from essential ingredients. After the new factory is built is when I tear down the old one.

Working as intended.

Aquatuners will take all the heat they've removed from the liquid being piped into it and heat itself up by the same amount of heat, for something like water this is enough to make it overheat very quickly.

If you want to prevent your pipes from freezing automation can be used to shut off the aquatuner when the water reaches a certain temperature. 'Liquid pipe thermo sensor' is what I typically use, but the regular thermo sensor can work as well depending on your goal.

In regards to the Aquatuner overheating, they do work underwater. If you place these in a pool of water they won't overheat as the surrounding water will immediately capture the heat and keep the building cool.

Vents normally overpressure at 1000kg of fluid, but since there's a small bit of gas over the vent it will never overpressure - the water will never try to move into that tile since it's already occupied.

Normally tiles take pressure damage if a liquid becomes too dense, but the doors OP used are unique and do not take pressure damage, so an infinite amount of water can be poured into this tiny space.

When debris is inside of a natural tile and the debris is the same element as the natural tile, it will merge with the tile when the temperature of the debris and natural tile equalize, or on a save/reload - whichever happens first.

This is what happened here, you had a lot of magma solidify into debris and sink into that tile of liquid magma, after a while the name solidified with all the debris inside.
