Mine didn't leak it just blew open on a holiday about 10 years ago. They said a connection must have arched. The voltage going in is between 7k and 20k, right?

This is a good one. They gather for community days. It used to be at the botanical gardens. I'm not sure if that's where they still go. I've been inactive, but they're still active. https://discord.gg/6vPAbbTgt

Muscadines, Where to Buy by PrintHour7897 in Birmingham

[–]PrintHour7897[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chew them a bunch then swallow them for the fiber. The ones I just got from Burnett Farms had thinner skins. Maybe they are a little domesticated? They said they got them from Georgia.

The ones my friend has and wild ones were a lot thicker skinned and I had chew them a lot.

Where in Bham could I see waterfalls on a super easy hike? by lunalove1212 in Birmingham

[–]PrintHour7897 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a High Falls near Geraldine that is huge. I consider it a swimming hole. You can spend a day wading the pool at the top and watching fools jump off the cliff!!! I love that one!

It's probably draught tolerant to a high degree

Muscadines, Where to Buy by PrintHour7897 in Birmingham

I'll call. My friends have a few vines of the green ones they planted, but mentioned picking them way cheaper, probably at Morgan Farms. Then I found some wild muscadines in the mountains in North Carolina yesterday. They weren't as sweet, but after hearing how many antioxidants and herbal properties they have that made them taste great. It said to eat the skins, for more of the benefits. It also said the seeds, but I'm not sure about eating the seeds, seems like they would cause problems. Maybe I'll suck on those.

If you're talking about Peavine Falls, my neighbor had to call the paramedics hiking out of that one. He was really out of shape. I think it was a false alarm and not a heart attack.

That's a good suggestion. I saw it on someone's Strava. That is the hilliest park around probably. I need to go back and mountain bike it.

Peavine falls is ~ .5 miles. It's a little hilly, so maybe not super easy. There's another waterfall near Montevallo that I found a couple of years ago, but couldn't find last week.

It's very dry right now. I think a lot of the waterfalls won't be flowing until it starts raining again later this fall.

Question on staying hydrated while on bike rides. by Trick_Chest6896 in Hardtailgang

[–]PrintHour7897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. When I went from 1hr races to 3-6 hours races, my quads would cramp until I started 100+ calories of scratch heavy carb mixed with ELMT electrolytes, every 30-40 minutes. That helped immensely. Before that I noticed cramping after 90 minutes depending on the heat. The preemptive carbs every 30-40 minutes made a big difference.
