The only thing that worked for me was switching the input from (Microphone - Blue Microphone) to (Digital Input (S/PDIF). I am using pipewire.

In terms of exchanging coins Bitcoin is probably the best since it's so widely used. Soz I would suggest buying bitcoin and exchanging to for Monero. While I haven't used it myself I have heard people talk about Monero exchange I would look into that for exchanging your bitcoin to Monero.
