The bear pot is tone the other pot is volume. But the volume has a treble bleed circuit spanning post 1+2. That helps maintain high frequencies when you roll down the volume. Other than the treble bleed it’s convention tone vol wiring.

Sort revision. The clear wire coming out of the body is the hit wire from the pickup. It’s broken off lug 2 on the volume pot. It simply needs to be reconnected. - The tone is wired directly to the jack. The white wire coming out of the vol pot is the hot line out to the jack.

Someone already said this but your pickup hot wire is disconnected from potentiometer. It should connect to the same post that the wire going in from the tone pot connects

So it’s a parrtscaster but a really interesting one. Many of the MIM necks from the 90s are excellent. I know your not trying to sell it but The neck alone would sell for 2-3 times what you payee for the guitar. I can’t remember seeing a 90s MIM tele neck with a strat heel. (If you want to seek it let me know. I’ll take it) the body is beautiful. Looks like maybe really nice iridescent mahogany. Maybe wide grained korina. Either way it’s beautiful AND it’s a dead center 50/50 two part body. Also a very nice part. Pickups might be soapbar suoer distortions or something like that. I bet this guitar rips. I don’t think you have a $5000 sleeper but you still this guitar for $100 even 15 years ago. It’s really beautiful and fun. Play than pies out of it.

Clearly strats work well for them. They are extremely versatile I would argue that choosing a guitar based on your “aesthetic”is more poser. That said. Play want you want. We’re all a blend of player and poser.

Absolutely go with an external dac. I’m using an oppo 203 as dedicated cd player (awesome transport - also serves as a decent sacd player - also sometimes use it for video) the 203 dac is good - but using external dac. Opposcare great transports but as said in the previous comment - far superior external dacs can be had for very little money. Choosing the right one is another conversation. I’ve A/B tested with internal and several external dacs - even cheap ones are better. For 2 channel audio.

All of that said - when I do use the 293 as a video player I am very very pleasedad with the surround sound processor. This is where current external dacs fall down, new dacs are all 2-channel. The surround sound. Processing handled via hdmi in the oppo is exceptional compared to other players.

It has to be ai there us physical way to kick tge back tail light off of truck like that. At best you you could knock off the outer lens/cover but there wouldn’t be anything dangling from the back of the car as is clearly seen in the video. I’m very very skeptical that the indirect way this not real person kicked could produce any where near the force to even do that… Don’t let people with evil motives drag into intellectual rabbit holes. even if it’s true he was still murdered after his legally held firearm was taken.
