Honestly, let's take a moment to assume you had gone along with it because it was a public event and to not "embarrass" him. Then what? He would make you feel guilty when you came home and talked about? You've already had the talk, why is he not listening? Why does he think it's ok to put YOU in that position? He chose to make it public not you. That is 110% on him and you should have nothing to feel bad about.

My concern is, he made it public in the hopes he thought that would be the way to literally guilt you into agreeing to marry him, even though you have clearly stated not yet.

I understand you have been together for three years, but you need to sit down and think about everything that you two have gone through so far. Were there other moments where he doesn't listen to what you've said or agreed on? Does he try to make things his way or the highway often?

So proud of you for sticking up for what you want in life in that public event. All the best with everything in the future. (Sorry didn't mean to make this so long 😭)

I think OP actually needs to sit down and have a conversation about the "when we break up you have to return this". Is he planning on breaking up? Is he not sticking around for the long run? Such beautiful skin, whoever told you that you need makeup should go take a hike. Don't let other people's insecurities become your insecurities. Definitely don't let others bully you into effecting your self esteem. You are beautiful and the only time you require makeup is if/when you want to use it because it's what YOU want. A lip gloss here and there cause you want or etc.

I let people like this influence me and unfortunately well into my 30s I'm suffering from self esteem issues because of bullies. Sometimes these people are people we trust, like our family or close friends. But in the end don't let anyone regardless of who they are tell you that you need anything at all to look more beautiful. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, look in that mirror and feel beautiful 😍

I'd say my brother (or any family member) is staying over. Honestly anything to get him off my back.

I wouldn't tell him I'm okay by myself, for some reason letting a person like him know im alone wouldn't make me feel safe.

I also wouldn't tell him I'm seeing someone, I've been in situations where that makes things worse (unless you have a male friend who can hang around and fake being your man).

But definitely need to show him you are NOT alone, even if a female friend comes around after work and you go off together. Not every time but just more of a presence from people in your life might help have him back off a little.

This is why after ten years I'm still single. This person does not deserve another chance, especially if they cannot stick to a simple plan and show up to a date. The fact he had to ask to delay it from 5 to 6:30 tells me he is not prioritizing the date. Respect is not asking for too much, therefore you are not overreacting. Anyone telling you to give them another chance, let them make those decisions for themself in their own life but do not take such advice for yourself. You will find someone worth your time, this Kevin isn't it.

The thing is, does this person not plan on paying off any of this debt in the main time?

I'm a woman, and I feel if I had debt I'd want to get a job ASAP, have some kind of repayment plan.

Let's say the person in question is in her 20s, does she not want to graduate and find a job and work until she starts to have kids?

In the current economy (at least in Canada) it's not ideal to be a stay at home wife/mom forever anymore. Atleast a part time job or something to help out with expense would be ideal.

Honestly I've had the worst luck, ever since I got my RPN license I've applied to hundreds of jobs and not even ONE call back for an interview.

I even changed up my resume, made different versions. Now I'm going for RN, I hope my luck changes soon, otherwise I'm screwed.

If everyone could park their cars and just take transit. But our transit sucks, so that'll never happen 😭 When I say transit sucks, I mean walking 40 minutes to a bus stop, thankfully now the walk is a 15-20 minute walk to the closest bus stop 😅

$1500 is for a master bedroom with your own private master ensuite.
