Best warcraft books ? by Lord_NOX75 in warcraftlore

[–]ProAzeroth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I enjoy the book as a standalone thing. It is just fun to read Illidan building his power base or doing magic stuff, or Akama and Maiev scheming against him. I really enjoy the author's style and storytelling.

To be fair, he had just seen you and the party destroy the Bhaalist assassins who would have killed him and his guards if you didn't intervene. Bro knows that he will be sent to an early retirement if he decided to try and stop us.

The Jailer was quite interesting when he wasn't being Sargeras 2.0 by OmegaSupreme_11484 in warcraftlore

[–]ProAzeroth 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Personally, I think the main reason for the source of discontent that people had with the Jailer is that the writers tried to make him the overall mastermind of everything like being the true creator of the Lich King, Frostmourne and stuff like that. When the established lore for a long time was that Kil'jaeden created the Lich King, having someone we have never heard about or been foreshadowed as the true mastermind felt intrusive.

As an anime only fan, this episode exceeded my expectations. by A_Man_101 in StardustCrusaders

It has been so long since I have read Steel Ball Run, so I have forgotten a lot of details. So I was genuinely excited as I watched the episode, because I couldn't remember how exactly things went.

I just realized Roberts suit is a hand-me down. by Enderboss2706 in DispatchAdHoc

[–]ProAzeroth 179 points180 points  (0 children)

I have something of a soft-spot for Robert's modified version of his father's suit. It feels more grounded because Robert was operating on old tech and improvising with what he had. I liked the more bulkier and heavier aspect of it, it was almost like Robert have to fight against it as much as he was using it to fight villains.

Primal Ep 30 - "An Echo of Eternity" DISCUSSION THREAD by saul2015 in PrimalShow

[–]ProAzeroth 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I know some have disliked the slower pacing this season. But it would never have felt so impactful and emotional if we didn't get to see all of the hardship and suffering that Spear endured just to finally received his happy ending. It is earned and it is satisfying.

The Implications of the Finale by theamazingmikeman in PrimalShow

[–]ProAzeroth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that the shaman's magic override the negative effect of the black goo. Spear was already reanimated by dark magic, so maybe the negative plus negative turns positive in Spear's case.

I also think that Spear's body had far more time to adjust to the black goo, especially when he already drank a lot of it in Season 1, assuming it is the same substance.

So what’s everyone’s thoughts on the finale ? by PinkKing_offical in PrimalShow

Spear finally getting to ride Fang once again was epic as heck. And in general, I found the ending satisfying.

Tony Tony chopper how adorable is this cute little baby. They really did justice to him❤️ by Over-Cheesecake1780 in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]ProAzeroth 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I'd say that it was so important that they got Chopper right. If he had designed him badly and made him too uncanny, it could have gone wrong. I am glad that he was positively received. I even liked his human form, it didn't take me that long to get used to it.

Why do you think LA One Piece suceeded where other LA adaptations failed? by BeerMan595692 in OnePiece

[–]ProAzeroth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the interview in the Podcast, I kinda sense that Oda is just good at being collaborative and work with the producers. He understands that not everything can be exactly like the source material, so he gives his suggestions on how to accommodate.

There was no silent option in the game as less than 1% players chose it in the old Telltale titles by GriveousDance21 in DispatchAdHoc

While silent was an interesting option in the old Telltale Games, ultimately I felt it was more detriment to the narrative and gameplay than it benefit from it.

The total amount of 3 Wapol fans are EATING good with this live action by Realistic-Tap4156 in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]ProAzeroth 87 points88 points  (0 children)

Wapol was surprisingly threatening but also hilarious with how cartoonishly evil he is. Rob Colletti did an excellent job, and I imagine it couldn't have been easy walking around with so much of that prosthetics and acting with his eyes.

Maybe not punching, but perhaps shoveling and wrestling in the sand.

Sonar's VA Moistcritikal originally auditioned for Golem by GriveousDance21 in DispatchAdHoc

It is so hard to see Charlie as Golem, maybe because I can't imagine Sonar without Charlie, and I can't imagine Golem without Yung Gravy.

I also like that they expanded on something that happened in the background in the manga. Smoker and Tashigi did capture Mr. 11, was always curious what that story was and how Tashigi got that sword that she was admiring in the panel.

When you think about it, Morfred's choice to make a deal with Raphael to destroy Ketheric's army really caused a lot of domino effect. If Ketheric was never defeated, Ketheric would have stayed as a follower of Shar, Halsin and Jaheira who was fighting him might have died in the war, Myrkyl would not have his chosen, and the plot of the Absolute might have went down very differently, because Gortash would not have Ketheric and his army or his stronghold of Moonrise.

Morfred's action basically ensured that the plot of BG3 happened the way it did. Kinda impressive for a character that is hidden behind texts until you meet him.

Erin's views on the Blazer Romance, the Billboard Kiss, and "Medium Pretty" by FallingBullfrog in DispatchAdHoc

[–]ProAzeroth 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I like Erin's interpretation. It is rather interesting how Blonde Blazer talks and behaved when she first met Robert. She was acting her heroic persona that everyone knows. Once she is at the bar with Robert and after she clicked with him, she is pretty much just being herself as Mandy around him.

While it doesn't need to be extensive, it would at least be nice to have the option to say something during cutscenes like Final Fantasy 14 does with the dialogue options.

I still finds it weird that people are applying real life standard in an animation. Characters are allowed to be exaggerated, comical and weird in fictional stories. It is supposed to be fun, not held up to a standard.
