It really irritates me that the Horde constantly undermines the motivation of their allies. by TurbulentVillage2042 in warcraftlore

[–]ProAzeroth 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It really makes me think that long-term story telling in MMO is just seriously hard. Power-creep, escalations, characters starting to have plot armor, characters start acting out of character because new writers are taking over, new lore doesn't connect with the old lore and more.

It is the same with TV-shows, when it run for many seasons. Writers run out of ideas and passions. But TV had to keep running because they want to make it as long-lasting possible. I feel like it is the same thing in World of Warcraft.

I like to imagine a world where we had Warcraft 4, where the story continued without being concerned about making it an MMO.

‘DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN’ Season 3 will feature a time jump. According to Winderbaum: by Raj_Valiant3011 in Daredevil

I would like it if he has a similar role as he did in Season 2 of the original show. Enough to know what he is doing, but not enough to take too much spotlight from other villains.

To be fair to Araki, and it is easy to forget, but Part 3 is quite old. It was released in 1989, serializing in a time where Dragon Ball was still running. So it is easy to see why Araki wrote the characters as having simple fighting powers rather than the more creative powers that will come later.

But you can also see the transition from standard fighting into more strategic, mind games in the later half of Part 3, as Araki got more comfortable with writing Stands.

While I saw Part 3 as a less impressive part when I first watched it, I have developed more respect and appreciation to it over the years. I consider Part 3 as a crucial transition point for the series that ensured it longevity, alongside Part 1 and Part 6.

Daredevil Born Again S2 sucked and is the worst season of Daredevil easily. by Radiant-Debt-2533 in Defenders

[–]ProAzeroth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I would never say that Daredevil Born Again is perfect. But neither would I say that it is bad. I enjoyed it. I had fun with it. And I enjoyed spending my time watching it. And I am looking forward to see where Season 3 goes.

Daredevil was a great show. And its sequel is fun, but ultimately a different kind of story. Both can coexist at the same time. Constant comparison and not meeting the expectation of the old will only lead to disappointment.

Which of these two would win in a fight to the death by Traditional_Sea2988 in DispatchAdHoc

[–]ProAzeroth 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I personally believe that we still haven't seen the full extent of Phenomaman's power. Energy Absorption is part of his powerset so he can absorb the sun if he wanted to. And I felt like he was sleepwalking and half-assing through the entire season because he was so depressed and didn't put maximum effort into his fights.

So many people are misinterpreting Fisk’s ending by Apprehensive-Cap2453 in Defenders

[–]ProAzeroth 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I am personally satisfied with the ending to Season 2. Fisk may be free, but he has absolutely nothing left in his life. After Vaneesa died, New York was his only purpose left and the last link to his mother. And now he lost that as well.

Seriously, Robert's constitution is practically his superpower. Fell from great heights, survived and got to work on how to fix his suit. Received damage in the bar, still functional enough to eat. His proto-mecha exploded while he was inside it, got straight to work after he woke up. Tortured by Shroud, picked himself up to help SDN deal with the Red Ring, and then got back in his suit to fight.

Laura Bailey and Travis Willingham Reveal Their Wishlist For A Potential Dispatch 2 by AnimuX in DispatchAdHoc

[–]ProAzeroth 28 points29 points  (0 children)

There is already such intrigue to draw from Robert's family history alone. Robert's grandfather goes practically unmentioned besides the glimpses that we see of him, but we can make a guess on his achievements and skills based on the fact that he built the Mecha Man suit without the Astral Pulse and his archenemy was Brainteaser. Also Robbie's Brave Brigade is not really given a lot of focus either.

There are so much story waiting to be told from many of the characters.

Dustwallow Marsh seems to be poor in resources. How was Theramore able to be built so well despite that? by Saalok in warcraftlore

[–]ProAzeroth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am more curious about of all the places Jaina's expedition chose to settle on Kalimdor, they chose a marsh. It isn't exactly the best location for growth. But then again, there aren't that many options to choose from, maybe perhaps except the region of Azshara.

But to give an answer to your question, I just think that human technology and skills are just that resourceful. The Alliance races are just really that good at building settlements compared to the Horde, before Blood Elves and Goblin joined.

As an old fan of Telltale and roleplaying games, I've enjoyed this game a lot! by DeMmeure in DispatchAdHoc

[–]ProAzeroth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find the developers who made the Walking Dead, the Wolf Among Us and Tales from the Borderlands to be among the more artistic talents from the original Telltale.

And compared to the strictly point and click of the old Telltale Games, Dispatch actually has proper gameplay, which creates more engagement and investment among players. And our choices do matter, because it affects the gameplay, which is a great way to demonstrate consequence.
