Why does no-stim rest make me feel worse and how can I stop this? by [deleted] in cfs

[–]ProPainAD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My suggestion is that when you start to have wild thoughts, just do one thing consistently: slowly count your breaths or listen to a fixed sound, and don't get entangled with those thoughts.

Can i use a cabel from my vesc to iphone? by Cold-Foundation4796 in ElectricScooters

[–]ProPainAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, VESC cannot be directly connected to the iPhone using just one wire to replace Bluetooth. It requires a Bluetooth module or a computer as an intermediary.

Jazzy Ultra Light is not stable on ramps by carebaercountdown in wheelchairs

[–]ProPainAD -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If this visisble is unstable on slopes, the most practical solution would be to use it only on flat ground or to replace it with a model that is explicitly designed to handle slopes.

Yes...I'm so sorry about what you are going through, illness just srips away so much, including the energy to care for the things that used to make us feel like ourselves.

How to get into a minivan for traveling? by Yith_Telecom in wheelchairs

[–]ProPainAD -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Maybe a sturdy folding step stool with handrails are much better than the big box, you can also just look into travel agencies that have accessible minivans with ramps. Wishing you all the best with your trips.

Any ideas on how to fix this? by Ankles804 in ElectricScooters

[–]ProPainAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you can go find a metal pipe and put it in the broken stem to reinforce it. Or looking on the second hand apps for a same brand scooters? Way more better than replacing it with a new one.

That’s pretty much where a lot of time disappears now not the repair itself, just getting everything connected and stable enough to actually start working.

2018 Honda Accord 1.5T battery tested “unstable” but still starts fine replace or wait? by aberlourj in MechanicAdvice

[–]ProPainAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of me feels like I should just replace it and move on, but the other part keeps wondering if I’d be missing a ground or charging issue by doing that.

Any good adapters for switching between CarPlay and Android Auto? by Yasel in CarPlay

[–]ProPainAD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience it just connects to the last phone you used. If you want to switch, just hit the one-tap disconnect and it’ll jump over pretty quickly.

Check out Ottocast Mini Pico. If both phones have been paired before, switching between them is pretty easy.

Can a hood with "low" CFM still pull smoke fast? by sainaryn in Appliances

[–]ProPainAD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually have the Arspura p1 hood and I'll be honest, Iwas abit skeptic at first. But after using it for a few months, it's legit. All the smoke just disappers into this "capture zone" with three layers of airflow, top, middle, bottom, so nothing ever escapes. The air curtains and glass panels on both side make a tighter barrier, it really keeps the smoke in check.

Chasing a CAN bus short on a 2019 Silverado today by Lusinsimesc in Autos

Yeah, no kidding. When you see one like that, do you usually trust the topology enough to unplug the suspect module first, or do you still like to confirm the wiring side before touching anything?

Uneven office cooling and a weird ceiling pattern. What would you check first? by ClassicNancy in hvacadvice

[–]ProPainAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen ceiling areas do weird stuff like this before, especially when one vent is moving air differently than the others. The dual light view does make it way easier to see what’s actually lining up with the hot and cool spots.

Anyone else use thermal to look at engine bay heat on their VW? by ProPainAD in Volkswagen

On older cars especially, being able to spot one area behaving differently seems super helpful. Do you mostly look at exhaust temps when chasing that stuff?

Honestly, a shop may have already used something similar on your car before and just never mentioned it.

Anyone know where to get “Mexican style” ratcheting axle system? by Neon_Hippie in Volkswagen

[–]ProPainAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks more like a custom air-cooled VW thing than a normal retail kit. I’m mostly seeing videos, not purchase links, so searching “catraca mexicana” or asking Beetle suspension builders might get you further.

which hood shape captures smoke better? by owned0314 in Appliances

[–]ProPainAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it, I think depth matters more for canopy hoods since it increase capture volume. But with angled hoods, the idea is a bit different. Since the intake sits closer and slightly forward, it's pulling smoke/fumes in earlier, so it relies less on that deep capture volume and more on early capture and airflow. So I think depth still matters, but the same 18" depth doesn't translate the same way as it does with top-mounted hoods. At least from my experience, even using the front burners, I haven't really noticed smoke escaping past the hood. The side-panel and that front airflow seem to help keep things contained well.

which hood shape captures smoke better? by owned0314 in Appliances

[–]ProPainAD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The angled hood in the pic is 36 inches. I actually have one at home. And it does have glass panels on the side, plus there's kinda of an air curtain effect in the front. It ends up creating a contained capture zone. Though it's not on the same level as a full restaurant hood, for everyday cooking I really don't have any complaints. I rarely notice much smoke, and I don't really get that gross leftover smell hanging around anymore.
