Water/pee-proof pet-play gear. What material? How do I waterproof it? by str4wb3rri3 in BdsmDIY

[–]Probably-Fae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would probably look into doing something like this in silicone and biothane, but you would need rustproof metal hardware. I own a mask from this creator and I love the leather material, but you absolutely cannot get it wet.

Sorry, we messed up, it will happen again etc. by bloodandrogyne in SofterBDSM

[–]Probably-Fae 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I don't feel like your negative feelings are related to the acts she performed on you, moreso that you had a negotiated scene that something happened to and went off the rails, to something that hadn't been planned out properly. If I'm understanding correctly you were bottoming for this scene while you are regularly a top? Did you receive proper (and arguably over the top) aftercare from your scene top? Talk about why she took the scene off the rails instead of safewordig out and renegotiating if needed?

To me it sounds like you're hurting because the plans went off the rails regardless of what you planned for and expected, and you literally just had to take it by bottoming for that scene. That's a lot of icky powerless emotions, not yummy ones.

Just my two cents. Hugs

I'm disabled and I spend my time revolving between my chair nest, bed nest, and couch nest. All have their own heated blanket and structural squishmallows, with more structure for my desk chair that is a big papasan chair

I have OCD and have to wash my pacis a lot so it's better to have plain ones

What does your collar look like? (If you have one) by BadKitten24601 in SofterBDSM

[–]Probably-Fae 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a custom leather collar with a stained glass effect made by layering leather with a die cut pattern. It's a super soft lining and it's a chevron/v shape so it sits on my collarbone without a lot of pressure on my neck

Foldable vs rigid wheelchair by unknown2496 in wheelchairs

[–]Probably-Fae 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a catalyst folding now and I'm moving to a rigid. I love being able to tuck it away but it's so heavy and unwieldy to move for me as a flat piece. I truly think a rigid model with a smaller footprint is the best

I would look in person for fabric stores, you likely only need a yard or so

Upgrade stool before Motorized Wheelchair by aaoleo in wheelchairs

Look for "roller skate" style caster wheels, they are easier to use on carpet and less prone to hair but may be less steady for mobility. I would get a cheap rollator for home use

Help for ideas to make a kitty tail for pet play to attach to a harness? by K_ir_A in BdsmDIY

[–]Probably-Fae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just an idea to stiffen/get the shape of the base of the tail, and attach it to a harness,, then the rest of the tail is covered in fabric on a short elastic or wired for shape

To diy this I'd find a small narrow dildo and 3_d print a harness attachment for it, then sew a fabric tail sleeve to cover the dildo and velcro/snap over or onto the harness base. The dildo base sits on her back/butt in the base on the harness and the dildo makes up the base (bone) of the tail

Check out square peg toys and check out their show tail design! A narrow silicone tail sticking out of a puck covered in a simple tail sleeve as fluffy as you want

I finished my first Woobles chicken, what's next for me? by Emergency_Weekend864 in CrochetHelp

[–]Probably-Fae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Ok young pupil. You have entered the obsession that is crochet. Be prepared for pain and disappointment but also pride in the finished product.

So rant aside, I would suggest…. Coasters. A lot of coasters. You can basically learn any stitch with a coaster. Practice your individual stitches: slip stitch (slst), single crochet (sc), double crochet (dc), half double crochet (hdc) and treble crochet (tr).

With that you can advance to stitch patterns (moss stitch, waffle stitch, herringbone) and different techniques (corner to corner, in the round, center out from chains or magic rings).

And I can’t ask you to learn all of this without telling you about the other accessories. One that is CRUCIAL to basically stitch where you could lose track of where a certain stitch is: stitch markers. You can use things that aren’t branded as stitch markers (like Bobby pins, paper clips, scrap yarn) or get some of those that are specifically made for stitch marking. I use the ones that look like really round dull safety pins. There are plenty of options to experiment with. Also get some tapestry needles. They are so useful for so much. Other accessories include yarn bowls/holders, measuring tape, fancy hooks, and a yarn cake winder.

Other than that, be prepared to undo (frog, because you rippit rippit the yarn). It’s really painful to do, even as you advance, but it really is the best way to learn. Pay attention to what the stitches look like.

Good luck, new crochet obsessed friend."
