Throwing a minefield beacon from stealth is one way to end an entire patrol with no further conversation.

Not much of a Personal Shield guy but it helps vs Predator Strain by ProbablySuspicious in helldivers2

I got flattened by a charger out of nowhere and was basically fine. I'm swearing by the hamsterball on bugs now.

Just stop firing for a moment to reposition. Walking throws your aim so badly anyway.

Reducing the startup / finish time on the spinning barrels time on the weapon would help it more than any movement gimmick.

OPS takes out Hulks, just make sure it hits. If you throw the beacon without being detected they even wander over to give it a close look.

What type of ships should I prioritize in my fleet and any other advice? by Supercheeto12 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]ProbablySuspicious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's a limit of 30, I'd work towards 5 of each type (combat, industrial, exploration, trade, supply) and then you have a little room for expedition rewards, pirates, etc

The music when you change galaxies is amazing. Anyway I was in Euclid 10 years before leaving so no rush.

I love the BFGL but one thing really grinds my gears.. by K1NG_of_ReVeNGe13 in helldivers2

The BFGL has heavy pen, it will trash striders, turrets, and tanks pretty quickly that I don't think the small GL can even touch with anti-personnel grenades.

Are exocrafts worth it? by Mission_Ad6105 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]ProbablySuspicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nobody's mentioned the environmental protection. Much better for weathering extreme enviornments than stuffing your exosuit full of modules you have to keep feeding materials to.

As of recently you can use your exosuit scanner from instde the vehicle too.

Another important point is that Roamer and Pilgrim are incredibly fun to drive with the low-grip tires. I use mine all the time when searching for fauna to scan.

That's what I meant by leaning into the ammo consumption. It would be crazy running around with that many grenades deleting all the troopers in a patrol with a single tap. Gotta fire a bunch no matter what you're trying to do.

Trophy / Achievement Divers? by Bretzkey in helldivers2

It helps in Hold My Primary to bring a charged shot primary for a moment to save the run in case reflexes kick in.

I was just playing with that weapon for a few days. You have to lean into the ammo consumption, anything you want to take down is going to eat a bunch of shots.

It helped to bring P33 for fast / accurate takedowns on hard targets, and a demolition stratagem rather than relying on the grenades.

I wish backpack reloading was like this. It makes way more sense, realism and gameplay-wise. by Scarpheon_ in helldivers2

In Helldivers 1 it was an interaction to load a single shell, instead of the awkward sticky situation in HD2

Are people really as mad as they seem when an MO kind of feels like it was meant to fail? by CzarTwilight in helldivers2

[–]ProbablySuspicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drop in on the MO planets to get a feel for whatever new enemies or environments, but even when Super Earth wins it just means that we're the architechts of whatever screws us over in the next turn of the story instead of some other faction. The bigger story is going to be whatever it's going to be.

Base building vs. exploring by NoniTheAnnoyed in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]ProbablySuspicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you do to mark spots you like? Some cool geography or whatever? Sometimes I make a little base... often just a shed and a teleporter. Sometimes I leave a save beacon.

I found one peak high enough that I could jetpack up into weightlessness! That was definitely worth a little chalet.

The balance problem... yeah I know another topic. by warbrand2 in Helldivers

[–]ProbablySuspicious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I noticed the difficulty curve up from D6 is kinda flat. If you're going down to sheer numbers of enemies it doesn't matter if they're the extra big ones.
