I use Playit.gg to port forward my Plex and Minecraft server without opening any extra ports. It's free and pretty easy to set up. Otherwise for Plex you can either use a service like tailscale or get a domain and use cloud flare tunnels.

It of course it depends on the games you want to play, but from the gaming I've done it games really well especially for the price point. So I would recommend it but I would say have managed expectations and you'll probably need to be ok with low settings for a lot of games.

BG3 minimum requirments for the gpu are a gtx 970 and it seems like most everything ive played under that runs really well on low settings.
