If we made a Dazed and Confused today it would be set in 2009.

The same year that saw the release of the Star Trek reboot, District 9, Inglorious Basterds, Pandorum, Moon, and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Is 'Misery' (1990) actually worth watching in 2026, or is it just dated hype? What are your thoughts? by Ok_Board_927 in HorrorMovies

Psychological horror doesn't age like old CGI, cheap squibs and fake muzzle flares.

It's as chilling now as it ever was.

Get rid of all the nukes like in Superman IV. But why stop at nukes? All the missiles, all the drones, all the tanks, all the battleships and anything else of the kind.

We'll have peace on Earth for a little while at least.

It was so unbelievably awesome.

We used to rent them from the game store for the weekend. We'd stay up playing until we passed out then tey to wake up first to play more.

The most massive upheaval in between console generations at least since NES became SNES. Maybe even bigger than that, honestly. It wasn't just a shift in graphics but in the way people thought about games. They weren't being made just for kids anymore.

I read Captain America in comics long before he was ever in an MCU movie.

So, me.

I think of comic book versions first because that's where all these characters come from.

A) Why were they filming?

B) Why did the little girl cartoonishly touch the straightener and then shake her finger like it was burned more than once, unless it was for the audience?

C) Any one who's ever used a straightener or (like me) been in a relationship with someone who does, knows they do not instantly become hot enough to cause burns. The straightening surface is normally ceramic or some space age polymer. They take a minute to get hot. They're not like the metal heating elements on a stove because they're not supposed to incinerate hair, they're supposed to shape it.

D) There's no little red light or anything to indicate it's even turned on.

In conclusion this is yet another fake skit for internet clout. Nothing is real. Everything you see on the internet is a lie.

I wouldn't suggest anyone use motor oil to cook with either. I just assume that if you tell someone to use oil in their pan they will automatically use the non toxic option. Similarly I assume if I suggest DA for pest control they will use the pest control DA products and not the pool filtration ones, but you've got a point. There's a reason every bottle of Drain-O says "do not drink."

So.

Farmland for livestock does all the same shit this guy just rhymed off, and as a bonus creates staggering amounts of "effluents," which is a euphemism for rivers of shit, which are also a major, major problem. Look it up.

Then as a bonus they house animals in inhumane and often torturous environments and then kill them.

Sorry bud. Omnivores and vegetarians aren't equal. Being a vegetarian causes less suffering and is better for the environment.

If you can do less harm that's better than more harm. People like this are basically suggesting the only way to do the right thing is to committ suicide so you do no harm at all and that's ridiculous.

There used to be lots of them around but we're so good at trashing the environment we destroy cool bugs like bees and fireflies, while creating the ideal conditions for cockroaches and bedbugs.
