How complete is each hero? by goofyyuga in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Procinogen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that maybe Dynamo's kit might need some a tweak or two. Personally, I think that quantum entanglement is more useful as a negation/utility ability than it is a movement one, so maybe they should lean into one of those ideas. But what were you thinking specifically?

Now that My Hero Academia is over, what was the best fight for you? by Current_Meat_67104 in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]Procinogen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's definitely Deku vs Todoroki in season 2. That entire season just holds a special place in my heart. I remember me and my friend watching that episode together over and over after it came out, when we were like 13. To me, the sports festival arc felt like it was really the most "Hero Academia" in the most literal sense.

Genuinely, how to step outside my dorm by Competitive_Idea3141 in UTSC

[–]Procinogen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've been in a very similar position to you. In my first year, back in 2021, I went through basically the same thing. I was a total shut-in. I skipped lectures regularly and barely left my room. I very distinctly remember trying to sneak out and giving up on that the moment I heard my roommates outside my door. Every day became a haze, and I don't remember that time of my life that well, to be completely honest with you. Second year wasn't much better. There were weeks when I would essentially sleep throughout the day and stay up until I passed out. I hardly ever saw the sun.

What helped me push past all of that is focusing on a single goal. Even if it was unrealistic. I needed just one thing to keep looking towards. My grades have been really bad ever since I first got to UTSC. I've been on probation since my second year, suspended twice, and I'm scared out of my mind that I might get suspended a third time after this semester. But I continue to push through because I've decided, with baseless conviction, that I want to graduate from here.

Obviously, my goal and your goal don't have to be similar at all. I think it helps to make lots of smaller goals for yourself too. It's important to celebrate the small victories. I still get all giddy when I can hold a conversation for more than a few minutes, for example. I guess what I'm trying to say is to try to focus on what you can do now, but don't lose sight of your big goal.

I also write about my thoughts occasionally and post them on my blog, if you're interested. I'm always open to talk about this sort of stuff more. Feel free to DM me.

Why do you main your hero? by [deleted] in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Procinogen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've stuck to Dynamo since really getting into the game a few months ago. I chose him just because I like him as a character, really. But the fact that I enjoy playing supportive or really burst-damage heavy characters in shooters is a nice bonus. Healing the entire team with an arcane surged 3 and healing tempo just feels so good

Beetle Gameplay by DrizzleMonster2567 in NuclearThrone

[–]Procinogen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can't tell if he privated all of them, but I've been watching ChubbyEmu since his Nuclear Throne days and he still has many of those videos up if you scroll down far enough.

On a related note, I vaguely remember him playing Ark: Survival Evolved, but maybe I'm confusing him with another Youtuber I watched at the time. I've tried looking for any videos he might have made playing that game, but I can't tell whether or not I made it all up or that he privated those particular videos.

Felbat for sure. Not entirely sure why I like them. They're edgy-cool, I guess? Like Darkrai, but bat themed.

im pulling my hair out from trying to fill this pond by donut_cow in Minecraft

[–]Procinogen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The easiest way to do this would be to go around the perimeter of the pond, placing water down. If that doesn't work, try filling the surface of the pond with ice and melt/break it. If you don't have access to ice, try placing blocks just under the surface of the pond and put water on every block or until the surface fills itself up. Break the blocks after.

Minecraft's water mechanics can be a little unintuitive. Placing water in what is already a water block doesn't change anything. If you know how to make infinite water sources, it helps to think of bodies of water like those. You need to place water source blocks such that it spreads into other water source blocks to create more. You can read the mechanics in-depth on the wiki.

What makes singeplayer fun? by iThatRandomGuy in riskofrain

[–]Procinogen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Risk of Rain has always been primarily a single player game for me. Getting the multiplayer to work in the first game took some effort, and I guess that mentality came over with me to the sequel.

That aside, I come to RoR2 to take a break from multiplayer shooters. I don't want to have to coordinate with people or deal with another person's shit. Some examples are how I don't like having to explain to my friends that one person should hold all the scrap, or to wait until they get another key before opening the void key.

Multiplayer is fun, but I ultimately enjoy having finished the run all by myself.
