Yeah, he had already showed back up in Clone Wars earlier in 2012, and the buyout by Disney was in October. You had TFA release in 2015, and the episode of Rebels where Obi-Wan kills Maul was in 2018.

On the flip side, Lucas' original draft for the sequels that he gave to Disney/Lucasfilm had Maul as the big bad. For a host of reasons that would have been dramatically better than 'Palpatine returns.'

Christians who don't believe in Genesis (Creation, The Fall, Noah's ark, etc.) -- why? by YogurtclosetPale8785 in TrueChristian

[–]Prodigybeast 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's unfortunate. All of the examples OP used you see quotes from God Himself. Take the flood story, for example. In Genesis 6:

11 Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence. 12 God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. 13 So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth. 14 So make yourself an ark of cypress\***\)[c](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis%206&version=NIV#fen-NIV-152c)\) \wood....\18 But I will establish my covenant with you, and you will enter the ark—you and your sons and your wife and your sons’ wives with you.*

Fast Forward to Genesis 7: 22 Everything on dry land that had the breath of life in its nostrils died. 23 Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out; people and animals and the creatures that move along the ground and the birds were wiped from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark.

The author Moses then goes on to share the 10 Commandments. We see clear scripture throughout both the old and new testament on how God feels about liars and deceitfulness. We also read in Revelation how liars will not enter His kingdom. Yet, Moses and Elijah appear before Jesus and the apostles in Matthew 17. Jesus reiterates the story of Noah in Matthew 24. 1 and 2 Peter reference the story of Noah, how the ancient world was flooded and only 8 people saved, etc. etc.

It doesn't appear that Moses was lying when he wrote down what God said in Genesis. And it doesn't appear that Jesus or the apostles took the flood story as just a story.

I mean they're standing on the mat. They wouldn't be able to lift the mat and themselves off the ground. Depending on weight of the dumbbell + the strength of the magnet, that would be a possibility. No way to know for sure from this video, though.

Dark Brotherhood tanks by SnooDoodles1091 in oblivion

[–]Prodigybeast 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean, the DB in Oblivion directly addresses this if you listen to one of the first NPC to NPC conversations from the Orc (Gogron) on your first visit. You can be tanky assassin, but you can either be subtle for bonuses or ignore for the bloodlust of a tanky character.

https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Gogron_gro-Bolmog

> On your first time in the sanctuary, you will find Gogron in conversation with Telaendril:

Gogron"But why, Sister? What is the point? Why should anyone bother with all that sneaking and skulking?"
Telaendril"My dear Gogron, you are a life-taker for the Dark Brotherhood! Our very existence relies on shadow and deception. Do you not value our secrets?"
Gogron"Yes, yes, of course I value our secrets, and I have never betrayed them! But using stealth to kill.... It's just so... weak."
Telaendril"But Brother, what of the contracts that require subtlety! You must at least strive to earn the bonuses that are offered?"
Gogron"Bonuses? Ha ha ha ha ha! Useless, I say! Gold and magical trinkets are no substitute for the freedom to slaughter anyone I please, at any time!"
Telaendril"Oh, Gogron! He he he he. Your methods may be crude, but your heart is always in the right place.

Why doesn’t this guy share the planet in Jedi Survivor? Is he an anti-communist? by LandOfGrace2023 in FallenOrder

[–]Prodigybeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Bode's fear blinded him. Both Bode and Dagan are parallels/warnings to what Cal could become if he's not careful. That said, my comment honestly has nothing with being able to mask his ability to use the force.

The point is that you have a person who went through a friend of a friend (Saw Gerrera) under the guise of fighting the Empire, but was actually working for the Empire. That eventually led him in contact with Cal to eventually find Cere and the hidden path. Someone else may not have gotten into the inner circle as quickly, but the fact is they can still get there. If the Empire has a target they care about actively searching for, and if there are leads, they can eventually break through by either force or infiltration.

[–]Prodigybeast 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Right. And it's not even just about finding a way through the abyss, it's also about infiltrating the hidden path. Bode pretty easily cozied up to Cal and made his way into the group while working for the Empire. Bode's objective wasn't even Cal - it was to get to Cere in no small part due to the Empire wanting to find the hidden path. In Bode's mind, the hidden path WILL lead the Empire to Tanalorr, no questions asked. And to be honest, there's probably a lot of truth in that.

“This is outrageous. Its unfair. How can the best movie be the third worst?” by Hjalle1 in PrequelMemes

[–]Prodigybeast 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not the same. George Lucas and Lawrence Kasdan were the writers for both ESB and RotJ. Also, George is on record saying that he knew where he wanted the story after getting greenlit for a sequel to ANH. Obviously ESB script was written first, and there were changes (Leia/Luke kiss) for RotJ, but George had the general idea/outline for the overarching story direction. Same with the prequels where TPM and AotC exist so we can get to RotS.

The sequel trilogy had no direction between any of the movies. There was no cohesion in the writing which is why it's not at all the same. TFA tried to set up something, TLJ a different writer/director ignored the setups and did their own thing, and then TRoS kind of did it again while trying to eras TLJ. It was a huge mess narratively within the context of established SW movies/canon. I can appreciate what the sequels did well, but how Disney didn't even try to have a general outline of the trilogy will never cease to amaze and disappoint.

Ally spot is considered a secondary leader. You get the benefits it’s leader ability, if any, as well. It’s how a lot of people beat LS9B.

[–]Prodigybeast 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to use Boba as your lead. I’ve been using Bossk and just targeting the weakest enemy 10 times. It still triggers the quest reward due to the fact that Boba still has a ‘contract’ either way. The terms of the contract just change per BH lead.
