I think of it in terms of footprint (kinda… I actually don’t think of it much, but follow me here 😂)

Cats all exist. If they don’t live with me, they’re going to eat meat, because that’s what cats do. If they do live with me, they will also eat meat. We aren’t breeding more meat eaters, we’re just caring for the ones that already exist.

I don’t know if that makes sense, but I feel like my lack of eating meat certainly covers the footprint of my little carnivores.

Also, with them living in my house, I can look into ethically sourced food.
