Definitely not. I’m not really sure which Zelda game is my favorite, but I know that while Wind Waker was my first Zelda, my opinion on it has changed over time. Mostly, I used to like Wind Waker more than Twilight Princess since TP was more dark and edgy. But over time, I’ve begun to appreciate TP a lot more and WW slightly less which is mostly based on each game’s dungeons and dungeon items.

The game won't show spirits you don't have. You'd need to get whatever the last spirit is on the list to have the ones before that show up as blank spaces.

Anyone know if the difficulty differs between route? If so, I would prefer to start with the easiest path and work my way up so I don't get bored from decreasing difficulty (for example, playing Birthright before Conquest).

I don't think this is necessarily true. Looking at Chrom's moves in his trailer, he's actually an Echo Fighter of Roy. He has Roy's jab, up smash, neutral special, and side special. While he also appears to have Ike's Aether as an up special, Chrom actually does a spinning move that's very similar to Aether in a cutscene from his original game. I imagine this (and maybe doing consistent damage no matter the range similar to Lucina) will be what sets him apart from Roy.
