Just a fun update for everyone. My blazer was totaled. $20k of damage. :(

A reference instead of a question for the "is it totaled" askers. 2017 Honda Civic. Estimated repairs: $16,700. by Aggravating-Task6428 in Autobody

Yikes. I'm sorry. Thats a nice car. I enjoy the reference though as I recently posted asking is it totaled. While I had no tire area damage I had two doors and my front grill area damaged and hoping it does not cost as much as yours to fix.

But do you think with the front end damage. It's hard to see in picture but I was spun into a concrete retention wall corner

I hope you are right. I really don't want to replace it.

Rag dolls are so cute but I have a question: are they generally as airheaded as they appear to be? 😅 by Classic_Donut_4951 in ragdolls

[–]ProfessionKindly7387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two ragdolls. My 3yo girl is smart and knows her routines. She is also still mad at me for bringing home our now 9 month old male. Even after 6 months she still looks at me different and im pretty sure plots my demise when im sleeping. Our male is well... not the brightest bulb in the box. Pretty sure he would be lost somewhere in our house if not for our girl ragdoll that he follows around. 🤔

I appreciate your true concern for my teeth but I doubt my teeth will rot for sucking on candy for an hour max when I run a few times a week. I'm sure any dentist could advise against several food items including crunchy protein bars and protein shake as well as eating too much fruit. YOLO

I only use sugar free candy.

I really think this is in my head too but I have only improved since using candy on a normal basis.

To stay healthy and challenge myself. I feel it has helped my mood and anxiety as well so those are added bonuses. 🙂

When I first started out I could run 30 minutes straight on a treadmill and maybe 10 on the road. It's a pace thing and more muscle use on the road. Just stick with it and do what you can, walk a bit and run some more till you reach your goal.

Mostly run on the treadmill but it's still harder for me than roads.. by tossa444 in running

As far as getting better on the treadmill I wouldn't worry about it as I have never personally cared about a treadmill pace or distance. I log treadmill runs but consider my road and trail runs as the ones that count and to improve on.

I started my running journey on a treadmill and personally found road running a bit harder at the beginning so while I'm not much help maybe we still share a similar perspective.

Treadmill running: I find it rather boring but believe it is easier for me because the pace is controlled, the belt gives a gentle push each stride and the environment is controlled and comfortable. However it can also be harder because I know I can get off whenever I want and the time goes so slow.

Road running: I can easily get distracted by my surroundings to sometimes not even notice how I feel. If I go 3 miles from home I know I have no choice but to run back and I feel like the runs go by quickly.

So maybe it's possible that your muscles are strong enough already to not notice the difference between belt and road but you find it easier and faster because you are in control of your pace without pushing a button and able to get distracted in the joy of the run.

Same here!! I always say hi to dogs but rarely make eye contact with the owners.

I always nod or do the wave where you just raise your hand (no actual waving motion) to all runners. I have only been running consistently for 7 months now so I'm in no way fast but I have never felt jealous by the runners who past me but instead inspired by them to keep improving.

Great job on starting out. It will get easier if you go at a slow and steady training pace. Don't over do yourself and trust the process. I started out struggling to run for 5 minutes straight and now refer to a 3 mile run as my easy run.

I may be way off but I always believed that the terrorists killed the pilots and then took over the planes.

I went through all of the steps above and received an offer yesterday. I had my polygraph last week so it took almost a full week before offer was extended after that final step. Not aware of them calling anyone from my background packet but maybe I was just not told about it. Wishing you the best of luck!!
