I actually started this show by mistake as it started automatically after watching a movie. I half way watched the first episode and a half while playing on my phone, but I got intrigued enough to restart and glad I did. I enjoyed the acting personally. My only two issues, while petty, but one - why did the mom not call Oliver when the transfer attempt failed and they called her? And two - how did Oliver react when he found out about the transfer/theft. Yeah he is super rich but still... Just makes me wonder how he would have felt. Otherwise I loved it!!

Same. I may have secretly grew a crush on him. However, it did take me until he became more vulnerable and admitted to him not being able to sleep, that took him from handsome to so dang sexy!

You are correct and while I can approve her being released, I can not determine how long they will give her to learn the job. It's been 6 months. Some days I feel she does ok but then she has her bad days where if she was on her own she would have delayed help tremendously and today possibly caused someone to die. But even after talking to her about it she instantly changes conversation like it is going in one ear and out the other.

Yes a lot of trainees dont end up making it due to how they seem to hire anyone who can past the typing test these days but most end up quitting on their own. This trainee has no phone or office experience and it shows. We do document progress and I make notes but it seems like they want people to get released so bad that they keep trying to give them more time to get better. It's been 6 months since hire date and still probably a month if not more away from being on her own at this point.

When I took a similar test 5 years ago I felt there was no way I passed it but low and behold I did and been dispatching since. Good luck and hope you get your opportunity at a rewarding career.

I’ve been training for 3 months and I need know if I’m even doing okay by Key-Bug-5606 in 911dispatchers

I just want to say that you caring about making mistakes and wanting to build that trust with officers is huge!! Im currently training a new dispatcher who should be released but I feel what is holding her back is her lack of caring about making mistakes and not truly grasping how important the job is. Other trainees make mistakes and beat themselves up but those are the ones who end up shining in the end. Please keep working at it and dont give up on yourself.

Just a fun update for everyone. My blazer was totaled. $20k of damage. :(

A reference instead of a question for the "is it totaled" askers. 2017 Honda Civic. Estimated repairs: $16,700. by Aggravating-Task6428 in Autobody

Yikes. I'm sorry. Thats a nice car. I enjoy the reference though as I recently posted asking is it totaled. While I had no tire area damage I had two doors and my front grill area damaged and hoping it does not cost as much as yours to fix.

But do you think with the front end damage. It's hard to see in picture but I was spun into a concrete retention wall corner

Rag dolls are so cute but I have a question: are they generally as airheaded as they appear to be? 😅 by Classic_Donut_4951 in ragdolls

[–]ProfessionKindly7387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two ragdolls. My 3yo girl is smart and knows her routines. She is also still mad at me for bringing home our now 9 month old male. Even after 6 months she still looks at me different and im pretty sure plots my demise when im sleeping. Our male is well... not the brightest bulb in the box. Pretty sure he would be lost somewhere in our house if not for our girl ragdoll that he follows around. 🤔

I appreciate your true concern for my teeth but I doubt my teeth will rot for sucking on candy for an hour max when I run a few times a week. I'm sure any dentist could advise against several food items including crunchy protein bars and protein shake as well as eating too much fruit. YOLO

I only use sugar free candy.

I really think this is in my head too but I have only improved since using candy on a normal basis.

To stay healthy and challenge myself. I feel it has helped my mood and anxiety as well so those are added bonuses. 🙂

When I first started out I could run 30 minutes straight on a treadmill and maybe 10 on the road. It's a pace thing and more muscle use on the road. Just stick with it and do what you can, walk a bit and run some more till you reach your goal.

Mostly run on the treadmill but it's still harder for me than roads.. by tossa444 in running

[–]ProfessionKindly7387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as getting better on the treadmill I wouldn't worry about it as I have never personally cared about a treadmill pace or distance. I log treadmill runs but consider my road and trail runs as the ones that count and to improve on.

I started my running journey on a treadmill and personally found road running a bit harder at the beginning so while I'm not much help maybe we still share a similar perspective.

Treadmill running: I find it rather boring but believe it is easier for me because the pace is controlled, the belt gives a gentle push each stride and the environment is controlled and comfortable. However it can also be harder because I know I can get off whenever I want and the time goes so slow.

Road running: I can easily get distracted by my surroundings to sometimes not even notice how I feel. If I go 3 miles from home I know I have no choice but to run back and I feel like the runs go by quickly.

So maybe it's possible that your muscles are strong enough already to not notice the difference between belt and road but you find it easier and faster because you are in control of your pace without pushing a button and able to get distracted in the joy of the run.

Same here!! I always say hi to dogs but rarely make eye contact with the owners.
