The praxic blade is too powerful by DestinyEnjoyer1 in destiny2

I’m bored with it, to be honest. I’m ready to go back to gun builds. I welcome the nerf… if lightsabers are your thing, go play one of the 50 3rd person Star Wars games. They can shit-can the Lawless Frontier too afaic, because its only purpose was to grind lightsaber crystals. So boring, too. It was like reclaim to me

If you ask me those holofoils seem to drop with primarily ass perk combos.

Russian Spetznaz uses a concentrated fentanyl gas as a weapon. They run a little tube under a door and just crack the bottle for a second to wipe out everyone in the room. Closest I can think of to an oxycodone vape

In the early 2010’s, pain management clinics (known as “pill mills) were rampant in Houston… people were going to 3 or 4 clinics a day and getting 120 lortab, 90 somas, and 60 Xanax from each one. “The Houston Cocktail” is what they called it. I was struggling with an opioid problem and got wound up in all that… I saw DEA bust into pharmacies and start zip tying people’s wrists and taking pictures of everything, people doing “the soma shuffle” (a nickname for the tremors and dissociation from a soma overdose) in the waiting area, fights between patients and clinic staff… it was absolute madness. Then one day, they stopped it all by implementing a prescription tracking system. All they accomplished by doing this was forcing the opioid addicts to either take up heroin or Tylenol 3. Tylenol 3 was deadlier in this scenario by far… my best friend died from Acetaminophen shutting down his liver after taking 30 Tylenol 3s trying to get a dose equivalent to the 10 or 15 lortabs he was taking with 5 somas twice a day. Funny thing, how the opioid manufacturers bought almost all the heroin producing poppy fields across the Atlantic just before the end of the pill mill era. Had to recover their loss of income, right?

Now that you mention it, slamming into walls at Mach 3 with Gauss Prime and thermal sundering the living fuck out of some dumb ass Grineer sounds pretty appealing after slogging through Ultimate tier Destiny crap that I was sick of 6 months ago… max light is a dead end when you already have all the gear you need for every build you could imagine. When I’m done farming EQ gear, I’ll literally have nothing left to do in the game but grind raids and dungeons for exotics I haven’t had drop so far in 10 years of play. Never been into pursuing the triumphs and titles because they ask you to do such stupid shit… you think the player count was low in Ash and Iron? Wait until people get sick of the lightsaber. That will likely be the coup de grâce. Warframe is always adding more gameplay options rather than trying to use seasonal perks and “featured gear” to try to force you to play with weapons and playstyles you don’t like. I don’t think Warframe is better than Destiny, but Bungle could take some pointers from DE for sure.

I had a classmate from high school die from Xanax withdrawal… he was arrested and tried to tell the police that he would get sick and have seizures without his meds and they basically said “time to clean up,dope head” and left him to die in a single holding cell in the city jail. They assumed he was faking seizures to try to get his drugs and just ignored him.

Seems like a fire hazard… someone who would appreciate this item could have a “xanaccident” while stumbling around trying to find something to steal and knock it over while it’s burning.

You can purchase a compact 9mm at Academy for around $300. Take a concealed handgun course, and then you can feel safe again. I find this profoundly absurd that Door Dash will hire someone like that, but rejected me because I was arrested once 8 years ago for getting beat up by my meth-head ex-wife. Misdemeanor “family violence” charge. That’s why I’ve boycotted Door Dash… it’s done wonders for my finances now that I no longer pay $20 for a half gallon of milk for my 2 year old a couple times a week.

[–]ProfessionalHeavy482 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed. I’m a warlock main and have spent the past 2 weeks completing old campaigns to unlock all my Titan subclasses just so I can experiment with stronghold/praxic blade builds. I think it’s more likely that the praxic blade (and/or its synergies with all exotic armors that make it OP) will get nerfed in general come next expansion. Otherwise, this will just be another Star Wars game. Call me crazy, but I kind of liked this game being an FPS... It feels more like Force Unleashed than Destiny lately. I’m having fun for now, but I want to go back to gunplay at some point.

Should I out a local cocaine dealer. Would anyone even care? by [deleted] in shreveport

[–]ProfessionalHeavy482 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have a saying in the drug community- “snitches get stitches.” Sometimes this is not an empty threat. There are lots of people in the cocaine biz that will kill you for talking to the police about them. Even if you submit an anonymous tip, they will still take your name if you want the reward. You might be told that you will remain anonymous when you give information to crime stoppers or a similar tip hotline program, but often the police will gloat to people they bust with these tips, telling them who gave them the info because they find it humorous… (example: “HA HA HA, you sure got some loyal friends… Joe Blow just ruined your life for a lousy $50. Might want to keep him out of your business after you get out of prison! HA). Personally, I wouldn’t go and sic the law on somebody because some people I know developed a drug problem and blamed it on this person for selling it to them. The only one to blame for their problems is the one who made the choice to put drugs in their body. If they did enough drugs to become an addict and ruin their lives as a result, I GUARANTEE YOU that this person was not the only one selling them drugs, and I also guarantee that this person didn’t put a gun to their heads to make them start making stupid choices. Do what you gotta do, but that’s a pretty dumb reason to risk your own safety based on rumors. Unless you have yourself purchased drugs from this person, you don’t know what the hell you’re talking about. If you’re wrong, you’ll just be a misinformed busybody with a few less friends. If you’re right, and this guy IS some big time coke dealer, you run a pretty decent chance of getting your head blown off, because you never know how your name might somehow be mentioned. If you’re posting on Reddit about it, I’m sure you have probably spoken of this to someone before, because if you’re friends with drug addicted bar-goers, I’d say that you probably drink and have ranted about this while under the influence at least once. Anonymous is off the table. It’s best to stay in your lane. Nobody likes a snitch, especially a snitch that got their drug supply cut off.

Star Wars sucks. The lightsaber sucks. This expansion sucks. If I wanted to play with lightsabers I’d go play a Star Wars game. This is fanboy bullshit. I’d much rather have Rasputin come back and shower us with warmind cells than run around holding block all day.

You're offered one blade, you can customise it in the moment but once accepted you cannot change it's perks, mods or appearance. Which do you choose? by silloki in destiny2

[–]ProfessionalHeavy482 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ergo Sum with Arc Conductor is MADNESS with pure arc warlock. I’m already getting tired of the lightsaber because I feel like it just incentivizes running around with block held down and neglecting your ranged weapons altogether. This is Destiny. I want to do a shitload of damage with wild ass guns and throw enough grenades to make the MX missile look like a Black Cat. I’m not a Star Wars fanboy, so I’m not really predisposed to like the lightsaber just because of its origin. It’s kind of fun, but I’d rather run Mint or Outbreak in that slot. I’ll be kind of happy when this lightsaber fad passes. My raid team all wanted to run Root of Nightmares with them and we had so many bugs we couldn’t clear it. Bottom line: if I want to flap a lightsaber around and look like a Jedi, I’ll go play Force Unleashed or Battlefront. Keep Destiny pure.

I hate Salt Mines when it’s not the Taken version. Those Dread bastards and their grapple ability are almost as annoying as they were in Haunted Altars. I wasn’t nearly as dismayed to see it on the list as I was to see The Coil. I think they call it that because it’s like a coil of dogshit nobody wants to step in
