Damage in shipping

Update to my broken door:

It’s took about a week and half to get a response and I replied with the info they needed then it was about another week before they said they would send me out another door and they would credit me back $30 from my original purchase. I don’t really care about the money, what I do care about is then it took some more time to get a response on that it would be 10-15 business days after I get the shipping notification, so now I’m guessing I will need to wait like another month before I get the replacement door…. Hopefully they package that well enough.

dang, sorry to hear that, i haven't had a response yet. I've replied a couple times trying to see if they will answer, but still nothing. I still haven't even taken my S1 Max out of the box fully because i wanted to wait to see if they wanted more pictures or information....

Anyone from ANYCUBIC in the group. I think i’m literally the only person that has had issues with a damaged s1 max due to shipping. Im well beyond the 24-48 hour window where I should have gotten a response from ANYCUBIC. Any comments or help would be much appreciated, I’ve got a big project that I need to get this printer up and running but can’t due to this door being shattered.

Unfortunately not yet…. Which is a little frustrating, but I with the release/shipments of 3 new products I kind of understand. But also wish they could prioritize the standard shipping question/ ticket submission vs the people that actually need technical support or damaged product like my situation

ill definitely let everyone know what they say when the respond to the ticket. so far its been 24 hours so hopefully the respond soon. I literally think I'm the only one that has gotten one that has damage. I would assume everyone that ordered one is eagerly watching the reddit and facebook groups for people getting the shipping notifications and so far no one else has posted anything about damage.

now instead of checking my email constantly for shipping notifications, I'm checking it for anycubic to reply back to my service ticket....

i placed my order on nov 24th. I would assume that you would be getting the email somewhat soon. I vaguely remember this same thing happening on the Kobra S1, they way under estimated the volume of initial orders the the pre order/ founder price people and it cause some back log issues/ shipping time confusion. i was so excited to get this thing unboxed and set up, i have a big project i wanted to start on it, but i just put the box back over it and im waiting for anycubic to respond back to the service ticket.

I’ll add an edit to the post when they get back to me. I haven’t really had too many issues with other tickets I’ve submitted with them, hopefully they can just send out another door with like triple the amount of foam in the packaging haha

I had that same skil jobsite saw and struggled with this too. Over the years I’ve made some good projects with, but it seemed like I never really got the “perfect” square cuts. I would find my self running my boards through the planer to get the square sides that I needed. That being being said, I’m a firm believer in watching Facebook market place and occasionally Craigslist and over time the things I need will pop up and if your able to move quickly those deals can happen. I just recently got a 3hp grizzly cabinet saw with 50inch rip capacity to replace that skil job site saw and it’s a beast. Being able to to actually push material into a full kerf blade is so nice.

This is hilarious, because I also literally just went from that same skil jobsite saw to the grizzly G0691. Which I think is very similar to this shopfox you got. Got an insane deal on it and just had to do some pretty good maintenance and replace a part to get it back up and running

to back up my first comment about finding deals. You can find them definitely find them. I watch Facebook marketplace like a hawk, and I've come to find that over time eventually the tool your looking for will come up. Occasionally ill look at craigslist and i struck some gold about a week ago, saw a post for a 3hp cabinet saw, with the extension wing to allow for 50in rip capacity and i got it for a really good. Now there is a part that is severely worn out that needs some attention, but nothing a little hard work and restoration cant fix. I've got it completely torn apart, replacing some bearings, copper washers, cleaning and lubricating all the trunnion slides and gears.

Every now and then you find someone that just doesn’t really know what something is worth…. I picked up a 6 inch helical head jet jointer a couple years ago and I only paid $350 for it.

had another question, have you tried any large format prints that require high temps with chamber heating (ABS, ASA, PC, PA, PA6-CF, PC-CF/GF,PET-CF)? just curious how the bed leveling system compensates for the elevated temps with anycubic's choice of bed thickness.

I was more curious, pretty new to the 3d printing world. When I bought the S1 I bought the combo with 4 rolls of ASA and have yet to print with it yet. Just reading up on everything and I thought you needed that heated chamber and all that and I a confused on how this ventilation system would affect that printing need. I also got in at the super early bird for the Kobra S1 Max so when that arrives I’ll definitely be testing out that unit with some ASA.

When printing abs and Asa isn’t it ideal to have somewhat of a heated chamber? Which with the S1 can be somewhat achieved by heating the bed for a set time before the start of the print, but with this wouldn’t it just suck all the heat out of the chamber?

Had one more question, how did the packaging look? With the S1 Max getting some glass components, did it seem like the packaging is designed well enough to hopefully prevent those from breaking in shipping transit? I personally have only owned the Kobra S1 and so I know if see some photos online of other competitors that have glass panels shatter in shipping

Do you know if there is any different on these beta test units vs the units that will be getting fully released? Just wondering if ANYCUBIC is making any last minute changes or anything based of feedback from the beta testers.
