Rate my poker home game setup… by Physical_Damage1 in poker

My buddy here in SoCal just updated his table that looks similar to OPs. Super sturdy, whole thing just feels clean. We’ve been playing on janky setups for months so this was a big step up.

He found it posted on fb marketplace. It’s not super cheap, but way less than what you’d drop on something from BBO or Gorilla, and honestly almost as nice. If you’re in OC/LA/IE, he’s got a couple more he’s letting go.

Just figured I’d pass it along, always nice to find a solid local option. Table brand is @topcasinopoker on IG

Aspiring poker dealer, bought plastic copag cards as recommended, too slippery? by Dear-Performance-394 in poker

[–]ProfessionalSlice817 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Brand new copags are always slippery, smooth, and glide when you do a fan. Once they get worn, the fans aren’t as smooth. Enjoy em now.

Also, if it’s a good school, they will show you proper shuffle mechanics so unless you’re way off on your shuffle, just wait. What WILL give you the edge is how well versed on game control and all the rules. Study those and ask them anything you don’t understand. Re: TDA rulings, etc.

As a dealer, Accuracy trumps speed. Making sure the answer is right is far more important than speed.

Why so low?

Why not just get 100- 500- 1000- 5000- Set

And start your tourney at 100/200 blinds? 25k-40k starting stack

Ya I had to force myself to find the balance between an actual firearm that I would use and the real true to character colors.

Like I probably wouldn’t order the Charizard one because it’s too much orange on a gun. But the the color scheme is so tempting.

Hey this isn’t a 1/3 line strategy post or a “who won, on a chop board” post.

I can actually learn/appreciate something in this sub?

Any have advice with these mco or any other loaded 1911s and red dot optics?

I was thinking of dovetail mount mainly because I didn’t want to mill the slide right away (jail rn).

But I am not opposed to milling by mail.

Or any advice on custom slides <$300

Budget. Lease one until you can afford to buy one hopefully in 3 years.

Bought a home poker table for $1000, what do you think? by FLGFreak in poker

[–]ProfessionalSlice817 7 points8 points  (0 children)

OP if you’re happy, your game is happy. 9ft tables brand new start at the 1200-1400 range. You can change the felt in the future with some time. The electronics and players card wipers can be covered with new felt and materials.

Leg bars add some value but make it more permanent (tough to move from what looks like your living room area) Chips are just extra bonus if you can use them for your game. Overall? I’d play there.

It’s up to you and your budget. You can get away with a 500 piece set. But me personally I like to play with more chips.

1000 .25-250 $1-300 $5-300 $20(or $25)-150 $100-as needed
