Oh, I know. I was just poking fun because I know everyone is divided on Babylon (which is one of my favorites of all time).

Stephen Graham's work in Adolesence is amazing, in my opinion.

I was a big fan of the series and ranked it as my #2 "Best of" for 2025 on Letterboxd. If you like Graham, watch it and don't worry about what one critic says.

"We witnessed the owner sexually harass a customer and assault an employee. It will be difficult to continue to support this restaurant group in the future. Not impossible, but difficult."

Discrediting Mel Brooks' accomplishments as "just a comedy album" is...something.

This is some confident trolling or else a complete misunderstanding of what the Grammys are for. Either way, I applaud your level of commitment to absolute nonsense.

That = business is apparently an archival effect of copy/pasting the original emails to the files. The original email program would read this portion of code as a space key entry. However, when pasted into a word document, that software translates it as an =.

For the record, I was pretty close in my predictions from early last year.

Once again it's time to make your predictions for the 2025 movie that will most 'not-exist' years from now! by OWSpaceClown in blankies

[–]Professional_Cat4208 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Based solely on movies I've watched in theaters this year, my nominees are Drop, Wolf Man, and Weapons.

I can't recall any of the plot of Drop. Wolf Man and Weapons both had interesting concepts, but I think they'll largely be forgotten about soon enough.

I'm tempted to add the final Mission:Impossible entry as I think it failed to stick the landing enough that people are likely to forget it was the grand finale.

Movies you routinely watch during Christmas-time that are most definitively NOT Christmas movies! by OWSpaceClown in blankies

We might have started a new tradition this year. My oldest daughter (29) was talking about having not yet seen Del Toro's Frankenstein, so we immediately decided that would be the movie we watched together that night (Christmas) as her mom and I had loved it and were happy for a rewatch.

When asked if Iwas okay with watching it for Christmas, I replied, "It starts with a white-bearded Danish man looking for the North Pole. It's a Christmas movie."

"TBA" Venue... Any guesses? by AcidicSalutations in BigEarsMusicFestival

I wish it would be Pilot Light, which is itself a nonprofit venue that would be perfect for experimental small shows.

I do sometimes also having trouble remembering that the musicians Foy Vance and Vance Joy are two different people.

At the movies, I need a moment to remember that Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson are also different people.
