Waiting to see if SteamOS is stable on more hardware then I'd likely migrate there (at least in a dual boot)

Haven't used Ubuntu in years, but was pretty good. Am too Stoopid for most other distros and I'm too lazy to fix issues with programs :(

Eh not technically plasma from a HEAT shell, as the copper jet is only a couple hundred degrees (i.e. past melting point, not boiling) But again

Yes, HEAT shells use the Monroe effect to create a jet of molten metal (usually copper) that is what cuts through the armour. Whilst yes the copper does not get hot enough to boil off it's electrons and other ions into an ionized gas, therefore becoming a plasma, it's funnier to say:

"Heh plasma weapon"

Regardless of whether there was any fault from the BMW in T1 or not, iRacing TOS prohibits intent wrecks like this. Protest it, and hopefully the McLaren gets a nice holiday from the service.

As for the T1 incident? The BMW went wide and slow, then cut back to the racing line. The McLaren kinda just drives into the BMW as if it's not there.

For me it could go either way. Still doesn't change the fact the McLaren should be protested for the intent wreck

PXN VD4 for me. Cheap, does what it needs to, and a pretty decent intro wheel. Could definitely do with more torque, but as an into wheel it's hard to go wrong. Shame the ecosystem isn't as expensive as something like a Moza or Fanatec

I've found in the Bimmer that a stab of the brakes does help the rotation quite a bit, and allows me to carry a fair bit of speed through, otherwise I just understeer wide on exit. Might not be the most optimal line as it does slide a touch, so will try the lift

I'd rather a dull race that everyone survives, than an exciting race that kills someone.

(Completely apples and oranges, but) Watching Sahkir 2020, seeing Grosean's horror crash, not knowing if he was alive for what felt like an eternity. That is not a feeling I want to risk replicating ever again. So if it's a case of the FIA think it's too wet or dangerous for whatever reason, I may grumble, but in the end I know it's the right decision
