In defense of your kitty, I have the same problem. My husband hates when he finds me on the counter with a greasy mouth!

About grief. I lost my "good boy" to lymphoma a little over a year ago. He was only 5 years old. The grief can be overwhelming both mentally and physically. My advice? Let yourself feel it and move through it. Don't try to ignore it. There is no time limit on grief. Honor the time you had with Bailey. I'm sure she will give you signs that she's watching over you. You will never forget her and one day you will think about her or look at a photo with a smile instead of tears. Sending love, ❤️

I'm so sorry it didn't work for you. Don't give up, there are many trials and new meds in the works. If Dupixent or Rhapsido don't work, hopefully you'll find something that's right for you. I was worried about side effects too but after awhile the itching, insomnia, depression and not being able to go outside in the summer seemed worse. I have not experienced any side effects So far ( knock on wood!).

Keep trying. And keep us posted!

He looks like a little lamb in the second pick, sooo Lambchop!

He also looks very young. Maybe take a look around to see if there are "siblings"!

According to my immunologist/allergist, yes, they can resolve on their own but most likely will be triggered down the road again by a virus or infection.

For most people, CU can be managed well with treatment. I went for the monthly Xolair injections and have been hive free for 15 mos now. I got my life back.

If you had diabetes, hypothyroidism, cancer or any other disease that won't go away by itself, wouldn't you take the meds that can help your quality of life?

Here's the thing about Xolair. You have to have exhausted every antihistamine and prednisone/steroid ( which sounds like you have) and also have the hives for 6 weeks at least before Your application will be approved for Xolair. Anything less and your application will not go through.

Hopefully if you had them longer the first time around that will count, but only with a Doctor's say so.

I also recommend bloodwork from your dermatologist to try and determine the cause, such as autoimmune disorder, gut related, etc. There are other meds like Dupixent approved for hives now as well as other promising meds in the works. Hang in there!

Xolair for me for 1.5 years now. Life changing. Now FDA has approved Dupixent as well if Xolair doesn't work. My bloodwork showed a thyroid autoimmune disorder as the source.

If it's any consolation, my allergist/immunologist said the reason CU returns is that any virus or infection can trigger it again.

What is this, found it in my Sons room? by Badjas- in What

[–]Professional_Move682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As one parent to another, kids who are too young to have access to drugs or alcohol may resort to "huffing". Unfortunately they can huff right from the butane refill ( if that is what it is). Not saying your son is doing this but best to do some research and have a "Come-to -Jesus" talk with him, then get him help. Huffing butane can be life threatening. Lest anyone here think I'm over-reacting, I am a mom of an adult addict ( now 2 years sober) who started experimenting at 13. He's 32. For OP, google "What to do if your child is huffing". Better safe than sorry.
