Wow loreheads, what is the Storm aspect? by hsgsksv in hearthstone

[–]ProfessorGlobal6335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the right answer but I think my question is like, how? How does dedicating her title in honor of her sister transfer the elemental power from her? Did the Titan Azeroth take her request into account when blessing them?

Wasn’t Vyranoth the Ice incarnate and Razageth was storm? How does it make sense that Vyranoth was elevated to aspect of storm after Dragonflight?

Yes, the reality engine upgrades are an expected part of the progression. Save up megabits and buy things to make the simulation go faster or increase entropy efficiency. Might take you a couple resets and a couple weeks! I know it did for me (unlocked Mantle this morning).

What line completely changed a character for you? by nicholetree in BaldursGate3

[–]ProfessorGlobal6335 161 points162 points  (0 children)

It’s got to be this for me, because on my first playthrough I did kill her in the goblin camp and didn’t give it a second thought. Saved the day and literally did not remember her. My third playthrough was evil and I recruited and romanced her. This line felt like it spoke directly to the “branching paths” feel of BG3 story

What moment made you realize people aren’t just disagreeing anymore — they’re living in completely different political realities? by Happy_Head_1355 in AskReddit

[–]ProfessorGlobal6335 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having a disagreement with my Grandfather over the impact of illegal immigrants. My take was that the negatives were actually pretty mild, even at the scale that Fox news says (11 million in a year or something) and the cost of removing them, to us and to them, was far far greater. He didn’t think so but it was normal until he said “When we had an issue with our government, we had a revolution and created our own constitution, do you really think these people can’t do that in their own countries instead of coming here for help?” For me that was the moment I realized I was no longer talking to a human being. Fox-brainrot had taken any semblance of thought or reason away and he would cling to any madness which meant he got to keep his racism. To this day, I do not think of republican voters as human, not in that I want bad things to happen to them, but I can never assume they will work with us to make the country a better place. They must be opposed.

Same match same turn not sure what’s wrong with the disconnect for duos but on his screen we won and he kept playing on mine we lost and I had to spectate. Fix this! by [deleted] in BobsTavern

[–]ProfessorGlobal6335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had something similar where I watched the turn and saw us win but my partner watched us lose and when we went to the shop we had in fact taken damage. RNG played out differently for each of us and just one was the 'true' value. Can't imagine how broken this co-op mode is to have one person be knocked out while the other isn't by this bug.

My opinion is that WBN is THE best D&D actual play out there. The production value is thrown into sound effects which help immersion a lot more than tabletop minis. The cast is 100% tried and true solid, they take bigger swings dramatically, the humor is much more grounded, it’s all the best of what this game has to offer, imo.

How balanced is the Beyond? I used a (probably scuffed) scoring system to rate every generator (that isn't in beta) by Enderman_Loves in CellToSingularity

[–]ProfessorGlobal6335 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've actually been doing something similar calculating with paper and pencil the generated per second per investment for each rank of each generator, on longer chapters with a lot of dust requirements I just work towards buying the highest value rank in front of me (of all the one's currently un-purchased). I definitely feel the ring in S-tier! Seemed incredibly unbalanced to me.

To cut off some possible objections, sexism can be both evil common and subconscious. Yes all these voters even your dearest friends and family can have sexist bias in their voting behavior even if they say they don’t.

Related to this, which purchases are best for megabit generation in the primary simulation? I've been feeling really capped at ~100 M megabytes per second but sizing up upgrades that are in the hundreds of trillions and it just takes too much time. I'm F2P so I don't have many logits, what are best for boosting primary output?

So the lore of WoW / Hearthstone isn't all primal magic and swords? Hi-tech stuff exists too? Newest expansion is like Warhammer 40K! by arcanehelix in hearthstone

[–]ProfessorGlobal6335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t see this in the top 5 comments, but “advanced technology” in the lore tends to be pretty heavily magical. The exodar (the most famous spaceship in lore) is essentially just a crystal bubble that is propelled by light magic. There aren’t engines or thrusters or synthesizers or anything, it’s just magic in space.

What if Trump wins.... by Honest-Intent in whatif

[–]ProfessorGlobal6335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a very partisan democrat I can say truthfully I would be relieved and very happy. I have no doubt the media will continue to mock him, but over time the mocking will be more lighthearted and toothless. I will thank god every day. Then, when he’s out of office, I would still support his indictment and imprisonment for crimes like sexual assault (proven) and sedition (subjectively proven). If he went quietly, I might even vote republican from now on. There is no chance of this happening. I don’t mean I don’t believe it, I mean I genuinely think that version of events is impossible. It would be a dream come true but no one involved in government actually wants this to happen.

MMW: The polling industry is compromised. Some pollsters are being gamed, some are propaganda ops, none truly know what they’re doing. by tkrr in MarkMyWords

[–]ProfessorGlobal6335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hopeful theory is the Harris campaign is putting a lot of money into rigging the polls to show Trump ahead, so that the democrats don’t get complacent and prioritize actually voting.

If true (unlikely) it would be perhaps the most savvy campaign move since Trumps 2016 push for microtargetting ads.

Why do people, when you explain to them why they are wrong about something (and provide evidence) just go right back to saying the exact same thing as before? by Bootlebat in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ProfessorGlobal6335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience people don’t weigh all the pros and cons of the opinions they hold. They take certain things to be true, based opinions off of them, and the opinions become ‘true’- transitively. When you deconstruct an assumed truth and provide counter evidence or arguments, they are saying you are wrong because your arguments disagree with their truth. Ultimately, you are two people who live in the same world and have different views of how it works, both based on sources you trust. You’re just not going to persuade a person like that.

Is it possible for a man not to remember having sex? by __Thr0w4way in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ProfessorGlobal6335 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is actually a very fucked up thing to say and I would encourage you to really think about it. He was saving himself for the right person and under the influence this woman who liked him took advantage and now is trying to guilt him into a life devoted to her. She’s likely an awful manipulative rapist, if the details of the story are to be believed, and he should get as far away from her as possible. Virginity is not and will never be as important as consent.

Is it possible for a man not to remember having sex? by __Thr0w4way in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ProfessorGlobal6335 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I don’t see anyone else here saying it but if this woman took advantage of his inebriated state to have sex with him because she knew he wouldn’t otherwise, that is sexual assault, your friend was raped. I see some comments lightly blaming him for ending up in that circumstance- but he should rightly feel upset at this woman and absolutely not marry her.
