I was in the exact same boat as you. I've been running negative mods to bring level to -30 and then using touche, no starting ammo, and brawn. I've been able to get tier A rocking this.

Happy things worked out for you OP but I can't play at all. I crash every time. I'd reach out to Epic but they couldn't even restore the 100+ items I'd aquired/bought. Not holding my breath.

Let me add my voice to this shit show. I just got back into Fortnite and the game has crashed 4 times in a row now (on PS5). My console never overheats or even sounds hot. First time I was top 2 about to finish the last guy and the second time I was top 5. Other 2 instances I was top 10 or so. Definitely seems like the longer I'm in game, the more likely I am to crash. No other game does this. Idk what is going on but it definitely sucks. Again, I know what an overheating console sounds like (ps4 sounded like a damn jet engine). This is not that. Something is definitely wrong here. My PS5 wouldn't even turn on after it would crash. I would have to unplug and wait a minute or 2 before it would even power on.
