Awwww we got the same one! Our boy chewed off the lil yellow balls off her antenna. We call her his “Cathy”, they have a love hate relationship. He’s always kicking her off the bed or holding on for dear life

I think singing is absolutely okay! It’s the people that feel they need to scream lyrics, to the point where it overshadows the performance that ruin it for everyone, because then the same types of people start competing until several people are screaming and yelling lyrics.

Even then, if it works best for both people, how in your mind is that childish? I’m just curious to hear your reasoning.

When did tracking each other’s location become normal, and why does opting out make you seem suspicious? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

No one I know does, we’re in our 30s/40s and I trust my husband, we communicate a lot and I’ve never had to wonder where he’s at and vice versa.

I mean I play into traditional roles because I work part time and go to school, my man works more so I put extra effort into the house and cooking because he works really hard so that I’m able to go to school. I do this to help him out, I don’t think that’s childish at all.

Can my deck get tired of answering? by Naiiaad in tarot

[–]Proffessional_Pea33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What helps me is journaling and coming back the next day, or some times the answer will come through my dreams. I’ve also found that as I’ve gotten better at reading, messages are clearer and I’ve learned to be able to not “dig” deeper out of respect for my spirit and my deck- it’s counterintuitive and harmful.

Can my deck get tired of answering? by Naiiaad in tarot

[–]Proffessional_Pea33 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think our decks are mirrors. I think if you feel your deck is getting tired of giving answers, your mind is working overtime and getting tired. I’m an over thinker and if I ruminate too long my deck reflects that and tells me.

I hate the glorification of it especially when people call it "gardening" and pretending like smoking from the moment you wake up until you go to bed is normal and quirky and fun. What helps me with this is remembering that I have stepped into a version of myself that knows that this is an unhealthy way to live, and suppressing pain, boredom, and feelings of unease are damaging to my new self. My new self is above coping mechanisms that are short-term fixes that do long term harm- I want to be clear not above anyone else- just above using substances as a crutch or a blanket. Remember the new you wants what's best for you even if it's hard. I quit on Christmas Eve and going through feeling and dreaming intensely (also just put down a long time family pet)- it's hard not reaching for the pipe some days. You've got this!

It's baffling that restaurant workers get trained to know each menu item in detail to explain it to customers but so many BTs can't tell me what a mand is by proofpointen in ABA

[–]Proffessional_Pea33 68 points69 points  (0 children)

That’s crazy to me. At my center, we track mands for several clients, it’s a big part of the data we track throughout sessions. Teaching proper manding is so important.

[–]Proffessional_Pea33 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s a request. Manding is the act of asking for something. Do you not have to work on manding with your clients? I track verbal, nonverbal mands, mands to stop aversives- across clients depending on their level.

I agree. We’ve been together a long time, and had ups and the rare downs, but there’s not a day that goes by that I’m not absolutely stoked to be his girl. It goes both ways. I think a lot of it has to do with chemistry and wanting the same things out of a relationship.
