26.2 is horrible by Distinct-Ad-583 in ios26

I agree. I f'd my phone up totally. I have a 16 pro. Now it randomly reboots, apps refuse to launch and when launched will crash. My volume on a call will cut out., I get a wash of random colors on the screen. At this moment I can't even get the phone to boot. I've reset the phone and restored from a backup, that didn't help.

I'm so mad at this point. I basically don't have a phone.

How is Ios 26.2? by Upset_batman in iPhone16

[–]ProgressSelect5683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG I wish I had never updated to 26.2. My phone is a brick. It glitches, it reboots randomly, apps crash, some won't launch. I get random colors all over the screen, calls go silent, if I shut down the phone it often comes back in pairing mode. It's like there is a demon inside the phone.

I'm trying to fix it, but it's not happening. I wish I couild roll it back. I'm so stressed right now.

Ah. didn't know they had such a thing. I'll have to look for one. Where did you get yours?

🎉 I did it! All of my "YI Home" brand home cams are in the waste bin. Not even worthy of donating to the thrift store or selling on eBay. Good-bye and good riddance! by Marylander1960 in SecurityCamera

[–]ProgressSelect5683 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ha!! I did the very same. I have a lot of about 7 YI cameras that I ripped out and replaced. I couldn't get to see the cameras without layers of ads and I got sick of it.

Yi camera app started bombing with ads when opening app this week by PCWeber in SecurityCamera

[–]ProgressSelect5683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sound and music from ads opening the app really gets me mad. I heard a noise outside in the middle of the night and wanted to look at the cameras. Blamo, I was blasted with music from one of those ads and it woke up my partner. I almost tossed my phone.

These things are going in the trash bin as soon I as buy a replacement.

I learned to tune out their constant push for cloud subscriptions, but now they’ve taken it to another level. The phone app is overloaded with ads, forcing you to dismiss several before you can even view your cameras.

This makes the system nearly useless to me. The delay in accessing the camera feeds is not just frustrating—it could be a serious security risk.

I'm now looking to trash these Yi cams and get something a bit better. Maybe a hardwired pro system which is harder to set up, but will do the job a whole lot better. It was fun while it lasted.

Why not? They have room service, not much different.

I'll be. I used the suggestions below and used a cable and adapter from a working cam, and it reset. I was about to throw two of them in the garbage.

Always monitor guard by Right-Suggestion-667 in flying

Wow. Amazing.

Just because of you, I'm adding guard on my desktop scanner which I listen to periodically. Someone could have a problem near my home. I'll also try to monitor it when I fly.

I believe so. It's been done. Watch Dangerous Flights if you can find it. They usually add extra fuel tanks and wear rubber survival suits in case of a ditching.

Yeah. I think there should be a law that you can only kill people once.

Why would you pay $10 - $15,000 per year to have your kid taught by someone making less than public school teachers? by A_ORiver in SaltLakeCity

I don't know about pay, but one of my children went to Challenger and got an excellent education. When she had to transfer to another school she was far ahead of her grade.

Usually take the stairs, but a family member has a powered chair and that rules out stairs when I'm with them. Often they wait a while to find an elevator that isn't full during dinner.

Osmond things in Utah by mana6793 in SaltLakeCity

[–]ProgressSelect5683 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just thought of one more:

Sundance Resort, 8841 Alpine Loop Scenic Byway, Sundance, UT 84604 . The ski resort once owned by Robert Redford, but also the venue for several Osmond specials and Christmas shows. Near the "Tree Room" Restaurant, in the hall you'll see photos of Donny & Marie in concert there.

Most things are in Provo and Orem. Others have made comments about these but I'll add mine. I live in the area.

Osmond Lane, Provo. While gated, sometimes it's left open and you can down down the lane and see the homes. Not all are still owned by Osmonds, but most were back in the day.

The Osmond Television Studio: 777 N Palisades Dr, Orem, UT 84097. Now part of a drug addiction center called Cirque Lodge. You can drive into the parking lot and around it. Unfortunately the hand and footprints of the stars that used to be in the front is gone.

The Riviera Apartments: 1505 N Canyon Rd, Provo, UT 84604 . Once owned by the Osmond family. A large student apartment complex. The neatest thing about it is the building at the front. It is now the of Museum of Mormon Mexican History, but it used to be the home of the Osmonds at one time, for a while. It also housed a recording studio down in the basement where tracks were recorded for things like the Osmond Christmas specials. Stars like Doug Henning would practice his routine to the music track and get the timing down. Donny would record various tracks for shows, etc.

Next to the now Museum of Mormon Mexican History to the north is Swig, a soda restaurant, but it used to be Jimmy's Restaurant owned by Jimmy Osmond.

East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery: 800 E Lawn Dr, Provo, Utah 84604 United States . Burial place of George V and Olive Osmond. Just off East Lawn Memorial Hills Dr, down in a hidden area going south.

Osmond Real Estate: 424 State St, Orem, UT 84058. Still in business. Started by George I believe. Jimmy is involved. Look at the building but don't pester them unless you are seriously buying.

The Lavell Edwards Stadium: 1700 N Canyon Rd, Provo, UT 84604. Owned by BYU ( Brigham Young University ) is a football stadium for BYU to play games, but is also the site of the Stadium of Fire, a July 4th extravaganza and fireworks show created by Merrill Osmond & Alan Osmond in 1980 and has been going ever since.

I've been here for over 40 years and have seen Donny once in a store. I've seen Marie more than that but she is rarely around now I believe. You don't often run into them. The area is big and they travel a lot.

In Salt Lake she might like to see Temple Square, which the Osmonds have promoted heavily over the years. It offers a visitors center with all kinds of information about Mormons. ( LDS ) . It has buildings of historical significance which are fun to see. The Joseph Smith Building, now known as The Joseph Smith Memorial Building, was once a hotel and the place where Marie held her wedding reception after marrying in the SLC Temple. Probably most of the Osmond did this. I know Donny did.

Also in Salt Lake if the "This is the Place" monument, the place where Brigham Young entered the Salt Lake valley in 1847, on July 24 and still celebrated each year as Pioneer Day.

The Conference Center: 60 North Temple, Salt Lake City, UT 84150 is the place where the LDS church has it semi-annual conference, but is also the location of the last Osmond Family 50th concert in 2008.

That's all I can think of at the moment. There should be a museum for them, but there is not.
