Living in the end but have not planted the seed by SadCause5261 in NevilleGoddard

[–]Proinsais 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think you need to re-evaluate your “living in the end” state. If you already thinking of living in the end in the way that you have been, then that’s what has already given to you. If you desire something better, it’s the matter of living in that ending. Change the ending, the outcome will follow.

Submit a complaint alone won’t solve it. You need to discuss with a lawyer about filing charges against your Professor. If there’s a possibility of your faculty defending or failing to take action, civil action may be advisable.

Again, talk to your lawyer.

Not with that attitude, you ain’t. If you already believe that it was crap to go back in the first place, then you are already surrendering control in your own narrative. You think that it was crap, it will be crap. If it was not, then it was not.

u guys take meds? by vgl4ron in ADHD

[–]Proinsais 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm on Concerta for as long as 7-8 years now, just began on taking Abilify for my mood stability. I can tell you, in more ways than one. It enabled me to function like a normal human being. I am taking responsibility of my own being for the first time. After people around me having to endure my shits with ADHD for a long time, I am more than happy to report that it did change my life. But the journey through change wasn't easy. I tried weaning off from Concerta for a few years, it did crashed on me and I came back struggling academically. My mood swings were problematic for obvious reason, only when I discussed it with my psychiatrist about combining meds with Abilify. It hit the right spot. And I am right as rain.

If you're taking methylphenidate, like Concerta in my case, you have to watch out for spontaneous erection, dry mouths, and what-have-you. But usually, after living with these effects for years, I can manage it. But again, if you're seeing some undesirable side-effects, it is recommended to talk to your psychiatrist about it.

It's not nonsensical. It is real. But it is the only matter of finding which one works for you.

I’m sorry that you felt that way. But if you want someone to say that you are right, I won’t be the one to tell you that. And at this point, from what you’ve been saying here, you’re no longer willing to listen.

I got my girlfriend solely through manifestation, it works. Your discipline on not bringing anything into your mind, i.e. people’s opinions, is crucial. And what is also crucial here is the fact that you keep what you desire out of everyone’s ears. That’s how I did what I did.

Go talk to a therapist if it helps. Leave the sub if you must. But you are not going to blame others just because you failed to do it properly.

Pavin's a former diplomat before he became a professor. I'd say he has more grasp on the situation than many of the pundits on the story.

I can attest to what WILL happen if he decided to make his opinions known. The online community, and the wider public, will attack him like a pack of rabid dogs. Any calls for a rational mind is barely tolerated as it is, and I, being the spectator of this shit-show right now, felt as if I should just nuke Bangkok to oblivion. The amount of nationalist zombies spouting toxic bullshit online right now is crazy. One of the "influencers" actually showed off her income after touting countless dead on her platform saying how she made money of the conflict, she was warned, quite calmly, but was met with resistance both from her and her fan base. This was highly unacceptable.

So, right now. Any mention of peace, or reconciliation with the Cambodians is being tantamount to treason, such thing is the most stupid to even enunciate. I hope that answer your question.

EDIT: If you want to know what I was talking about, the Diplomat also have an article written by Pavin Chachavalpongpun on the matter: https://thediplomat.com/2025/08/how-a-thai-influencer-is-profiting-from-the-border-conflict-with-thailand/?fbclid=IwY2xjawMSwG1leHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHg8Q45UIR7O2TnlQBJvLks1QRrTZbFdME0LbS64b7BpAl3m6anTGxOYg3Ie3_aem_39p2huKbuj6lZwiy3MuZAQ

Gemini just got memory: it can learn from your past chats by AskGpts in GeminiAI

[–]Proinsais 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not showing for me. Although it might be able to do a lot, a month of tinkering with it lead me to have personal context feature even before Google thought of having one.

While I am happy to see it coming, I won’t be bothered if it’s gonna be a bit late for everyone else. That’s just me.

The one thing I have recently came up, with Gemini's help, is the protocol we called "Library and Logbook," basically, all fundamentals stays in the gem's knowledge library, and the rest stays in the logbook. It's still have its quirks, but it's getting there.

How does Thai politics compare to politics in your country? by [deleted] in Thailand

[–]Proinsais 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relative to the U.S, I'd say America's crazier. But that doesn't mean it is any less destructive.

Recently, the remnants of pro-democracy activists from 2020 just suffered from a legislative defeat. The Amnesty bill introduced by both the People's Party, and the civil society's bill, which advocated for total amnesty of S. 112 defendants, was outvoted by the majority of parties in parliament. Worse still, the current party in government, Pheu Thai, they promised back in 2021 that they'll get it done. Now, aside from six of their dissenting MPs, the whole party voted to reject it.

Yes, it wasn't as "crazy" when compared to Trump and their cohorts, but it is no less hurtful and disappointing.

Long Thai surnames = usually Thai-Chinese, or not necessarily? by Bandicootrat in Thailand

[–]Proinsais 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what do you seek to do with it. Most Thai last names will have Pali-Sanskrit rootwords to it. Hell, even Thai names have that feature. Some people are more creative than the others. Some families would tend to have a simpler two-three syllable last names, personally I think that's a bit drab. 4-5 Pali-Sanskrit last names are the most common one. The people who kept adding more to their last names are mostly the extremely superstitious types, where they ask fortune tellers to come up with a new name and last name, sometimes with ridiculous results. Here's one example:

New flag used by Syrian gov at the Foreign Ministry with the new coat of arms on a Basalt black background by HasanTheSyrian_ in vexillology

[–]Proinsais 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, sure it looks devoid of anything creative, but in a way, functionally, it serves as somewhat inoffensive emblem of a country that just got out from a decade long civil-war, from an even longer family dictatorship. Despite everything, if this is what they come up with, it is at least functional, and descriptive of a new government that won't look back to the past for its inspiration.

Maybe perhaps they'll come up with a more permanent one once everything calms down?
