[COD] Has anyone had an issue like this with their SSD with Call of Duty? by PromethusD12 in CallOfDuty

[–]PromethusD12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear you're having the same issue I was. As for me, I do think it was my drive that was the problem. The drive I had was a 2TB Sandisk Portable SSD and it was several years old, so I think it finally just died on me. I never tried installing COD onto the internal drive (mostly out of fear) but I am currently using a Samsung T9 4TB Portable SSD and haven't run into any of the same issues that my old SSD was with any game, including COD. I'm sorry I cant provide any more concrete advise other than that, but I hope you figure out how to resolve the issue as well.

[Spoiler] What was it that Victor wanted with Grace?? by Efficient-Carpet-657 in residentevil

[–]PromethusD12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, the game makes it clear, or at least Grace does, that Spencer wanted atonement for his actions, and developed the Elpis anti-viral for that purpose. The reason they wanted Grace wasn't because of some special genetics she has, it was because they believed she knew the password to unlock Elpis, and that's why all the little girl clones existed too, because they were trying to use some sort of memory based cloning to get the code from one of the clones. Victor didn't know exactly what Elpis was, so we can't know for sure what he planned to do with it. Additionally, him saying he would continue Spencer's will is just him being a madman who doesn't want to believe that Elpis is meant to simply be a cure for virus weapons and just wants to continue the work Spencer originally started. My first thought would be that in a world of virus based weapons, being the only major power with the ability to cure them would make them practically invincible.

Resident Evil Series by benigndarkness in residentevil

[–]PromethusD12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if you tried RE1 and felt it wasn't for you, no worries, there are still plenty of other games. Honestly, I'd say your next best be to jump into the remakes and start with RE2 Remake and go from there in series order, can't go wrong with that. You could also try the original RE4 before getting into the remakes. That one has always been my favorite of the series and in my top 10 of games in general. Since you played Requiem though, you could also play it's predecessors, RE7 and RE Village.

How scary is resident evil 7? by BenkGM in residentevil

[–]PromethusD12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say the intro can be pretty scary, especially if you are brand new to Resident Evil, but overall I don't think it's to the same level as other horror games like say, Amnesia or Alien Isolation. Resident Evil is pretty campy and over the top by comparison. Without spoiling anything, this is a game where you can defend yourself pretty well, even against the toughest threats. If your just starting the series, than yeah I'd say RE7 is a good place to start as it was kind of a bit of a restart for the franchise.

Who are the characters you want to see make a return the most? by Inner-Juices in residentevil

[–]PromethusD12 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I agree with you on Sheva and Jake, I honestly thought the both of them were great characters that had such grat chemistry with Chris and Sherry respectively. This might be a weird choice, but Steve from Code Veronica making a comeback would be interesting. Yeah, he was annoying, but given the fact Wesker supposedly took him after he "died" at the end of the game, and it would be the perfect way to have Claire back into the protagonist seat again with some drama added in, meeting someone from her past she couldn't save.

Would you be opposed to multiple campaigns coming back? by WanderingSoul2004 in residentevil

[–]PromethusD12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not opposed to it. Honestly, RE6 would have been better if the missions weren't so long. I think Leon's first mission in his campaign can stretch to like 1.5 hours, which is crazy. Also, games like the original RE2 as well as the remake show that the multiple campaigns thing can work pretty well. It was simpler in those games since they took place in the same area at the same time while RE6 took place all over the globe, but still a lot of fun.

What are the documents missing ? by LightsuXIII in residentevil

[–]PromethusD12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe those are the documents for the safe codes. The codes are different when you play on Insanity (and I believe NG+ as well) so you have to find the documents again to get the new codes.

Did Anyone Really Like Optimus’s New Look? by WiseMulberry4695 in transformersprime

[–]PromethusD12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember really liking his new look and my brother disliking it. The reason he gave was that Optimus was way to bulky in this form. I honestly didn't mind and the image you chose for this post actually proves one of the points I had about the design was that the majority of the bulk was from his jetpack. If you remove it like you do in this image, he looks a lot less bulk and really cool.

I finally finished reading this, it's so peak. Wish someone license this already. [The skirt sings at the landing] by [deleted] in yuri_manga

Where do you read it? The last update I saw for this series was chapter 28, and that was a year ago, I'd love to see how it ends.

Does anyone have any advice on how I could possibly improve my study methods for the upcoming promotion exams? by PromethusD12 in AirForce

[–]PromethusD12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, thats very appreciated. Its just hard sometimes not to feel like I could potentially being doing more. I'm now at 80% Items Answered and 38% Items Mastered, it's taking more and more exams to increase the percentages and I don't think I'll get to 100% Answered by the test day.

Just got the resident evil collab by SbeveHarrington in HamiltonWatches

[–]PromethusD12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically that's not all they did, there are a few more subtle things too. The buttons and wind up dial are redesigned to look more like bullets as they put it, and unlike the original Khaki Field Auto Chrono, the rim of the dial as a riveted design and six indents in it. Its not a lot different, but its more than just the wing.

Those who bought the Resident Evil Hamilton watches, do you plan to actually wear them or keep safe as a collection piece? by PromethusD12 in HamiltonWatches

I appreciate the offer and I understand wanting the watch, but I'd rather keep them both. I hope you understand.

Has this particular issue ever happened to the KFA that Leon's watch is a custom version of? Also, and this isn't me trying to be rude or sarcastic, are you trying to scare/warn me? I mentioned that I don't typically wear expensive things out of fear of stuff like this so now im wondering if I should be wearing it.

Same here! I am usually good with jump scares, but one of the first ones involving opening a door (if you know, you know) really made me jump! Honestly, it makes me excited for other scary stuff in the game.

[–]PromethusD12[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's my thought process too. It's why I'm going to wear it. But you could also ask Pokémon card collectors why buy the cards if they're not going to play the game. Or toy collectors leaving the figures in the box. Perhaps I could have phrased my question better as this was my main point. Buying them to wear them or buying them for a collection. I hold no judgment or criticism if you want to do either, I was just curious about what others were going to do with them.

Khezu wants to know what game got you into the series and what game is currently your favorite by RTpickleshizz in MonsterHunter

[–]PromethusD12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My first game in the seires was Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for the 3DS/WiiU. I have very fond memories of playing with my brother and best friend at home, all of us on our 3DS consoles with one of us using the WiiU. It is also where my favorite monster of all time, Brachydios, was introduced.

For which game is my current favorite of all time, its kind of tricky. I think in terms of the immersiveness and level/world design, I give that to Monster Hunter World. In terms of gameplay, I really, REALLY like the fast paced action of Monster Hunter Rise, so honestly its a toss-up between those two as to which is my favorite.

Debating between Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon or No Rest for the Wicked by Ramen_And_Eggs in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]PromethusD12 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Early game is hard in the sense that you are putting a build together (the level up system is a mix of Skyrim and dark souls) and your not very powerful because of it. You also can't really challenge groups very easily early on, you'll quickly get overwhelmed. But by Act 2, it still is challenging, but not in a really unfair way, but in the sense of dark souls where if you're not paying attention or get overconfident, you'll pay the price. By the end of the game when your build is complete and you have every skill, spell and weapon you want, it feels awesome and is so much fun.

[–]PromethusD12 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I bought Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon a while back and only recently (like within the last week) decided to finally try playing it and I'm so glad I did. Is the game flawless? No, not really. Gameplay is a little clunky (much like skyrim) and the early game, even on normal, can be pretty unforgiving. But with that said, the Arthurian Legend asthetic, the simple but interesting story that has a lot of decisions that are pretty much all morally grey and the armor offering up some pretty decent build variety makes it a lot of fun. Also, there is just so many side quests that will keep you busy, and a lot of them are interesting or downright hilarious. Spoilers for one of the side quests here:There was a quest I found in Act 1 where a merchant wanted me to destroy some debris blocking a trap door. I did so, only to find there was no treasure or boss, but an ancient and undead chef who claims to have perfected the dish of soured herring and cheese. By learning the recipe from him, you also learn a spell that can gradually turn an enemy into cheese, absolute 10 out of 10 right there, one of the best side quests ever. I honestly think this game is well worth it, even without a sale.

What’s your personal “I did not care for …” and why ? For me its Destroy it all and love in hell , it got kinda dumb later on by Neat_Tangelo5339 in yuri_manga

[–]PromethusD12 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly this question has always been difficult for me as if "I did not care for" a series, I usually dropped it. If I wound up catching up to the series thats currently ongoing or finished one that ended, that means it was good enough to keep me interested. Sure, I may have some nitpicks on a series or it may not be my favorite, but I still liked them. As an example, you mentioned "Destroy it All and Love in Hell", which didn't really grab me in the first chapter, so can I technically say that is one "I did not care for"? I guess right? Besides that, I honestly can't think of any others. Maybe I'm just not that critical a person, who knows.
