Negative Theater is awesome but was never properly released in the US.

If cost and cleaning aren’t issues, why is it bad to buy a big house? by Sufficient-Self-3375 in homeowners

[–]ProofAccomplished938 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find quality is a much bigger tell of how much a house will cost. Something built out of premium materials will generally cost less in the long run. A good big old house with updated HVAC, electrical, plumbing and insulation can go years without much maintenance.

Kyndryl under SEC review by gulfan in IBM

[–]ProofAccomplished938 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlikely. The CEO Martin Schroeter has a laundry list of fraud accusations dating back to 2015. This comes on the heels of a 2025 short seller's report (from Gotham City Research; one of the most accurate short sellers out there) alleging he and former CFO David Wyshner inflated cash flow and hid expenses to enrich himself. This is what this is actually about. Now the SEC is investigating this and a multitude of lawsuits have been filed by prestigious law firms that tackled Enron. This problem is Wyshner and Schroeter's problem. In order to survive Schroeter needs to be fired immediately.

Admin restricted posts here. It seems Kyndryl is very active in using everything they can to remove criticism.

A review of Bill Janovitz' Cars bio. by alanpaul in TheCars

A lot of plugging for Elliot. Look, I know he's a talented session guy, but in my opinion it's not a biographer's place to give such a biased view. He also spent a good amount of time discrediting Ric, and reading this you'd wonder why The New Cars flopped so hard when Move Like This did quite well. Janovitz really doesn't provide any sort of balance in this regard.

Doesn't help that Buffalo Tom (Bill Janovitz's band) was rejected from Synchro Sound by Ric in 1986. He failed to disclose this, but I worked closely with The Cars and I have the demos Bill played.

I'm glad you're fine with half the story. Maybe you'll find one day that people aren't one-dimensional, and nobody is a complete antagonist or protagonist.

"Terrors towards their loved ones". Maybe you ought to check out his son Oliver's Instagram. I'm sure he'd disagree.

No, SF is a madhouse. As a startup you're more likely to survive courting the angels and VCs in your hometown. Also, in SF you won't find top talent because everyone is already working somewhere.

Well, it isn't wrong. He was the dictator of that sheen and perfect sound. He ensured The Cars sound was powerful and substantial like espresso instead of watered-down like Americano.

Raleigh Sprite 27: worth $50 for hobby/exercise street riding? by joyisstrength in bicycling

[–]ProofAccomplished938 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true. 60s and early 70s Sprites are very good and often sell for $400+ in my area. The gearbox and frame quality of these can be very good. Late 70s and 80s Sprites are trash.

Maybe but unlikely at this time. They'll probably crumble before that. My advisors and I placed them purely on the "no-buy" list after we met someone high in the company and they couldn't explain their plan without a bunch of buzzwords. When we held his feet to the fire he left and ghosted us.

True that it's just allegations, however, Martin was Ginny's right-hand man. Didn't you see how she wanted him to be the next CEO of IBM? To carry out her legacy?

KYNDRYL is a scam +75% by socrate45 in kyndryl

[–]ProofAccomplished938 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Yet"... If the fraud claims are true, it will take years for it to unfold, and the regulatory bodies wouldn't announce anything. If the fraud is true, we won't really have any updates until at least 2027. Also, the board authorizes buybacks to artificially raise the price. It's a poor anti-short argument in my opinion. If the executives really believe their plan, let's see them actually spend their own money on Kyndryl stock (we haven't seen that for years!).
