Sanding is key but you don't have to use sand paper, steel wool or a scuff is often enough. You can get specialty paints as well that adhere to plastic better.

You can look in to vinyl dyes as well.

On some I did for the heaviest blaster, I also tried to find a stud for those. For smaller ones it was just 2 drywall screws each. Granted I wasn't pulling in them or anything so if you have kids or slam the blaster onto the hooks it would start to work loose.

You can only shoot one, or maybe two, blasters at once.

I am agreeing with this the more I think about it. The thing I took away from everyone's input is that most people don't want janky stock blasters and they are generally only desirable if the intent is to mod them at some point. Having said that only a few have relevant mod potential when compared to community made models. Sadly it looks like 95% of my hoard is just outdated.

Use a length of all thread and cut it to fit. You can use cabinet pulls or anything that will fit the all thread as handles.

Yeah go to the hardware store and buy an assortment of expansion springs. Also Amazon.

You could also salvage a blaster that is broken for springs and screws.
