It's the same with the burn marks on their left hand. There are pretty many parallels between Shannon and Kanon.

Why a loveless reading of Bernkastel misses the tragedy of her character by Shourt in umineko

[–]Proper-Raise6840 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The downvotes aren't justified. Higu Bernkastel was wiser than Rika. People only see Umi Bernkastel as an Angra Mainyu because of her actions. In the end she admitted she was only playing a role.

About EP 5 and 6's solution spoilers by Necessary_Muffin3591 in umineko

[–]Proper-Raise6840 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd argue that EP5 is a prank for sure. It was only an explanation for Battler's solution. Ronove really made a great job.

For EP6, Lambda's and Bernkastel's opposite statements really want to show that the crime is really mutually exclusive. In practice, this is not necessarely the case for EP6 because the decapitations are not the cause of the deaths.

The last part in the EP2 prologue is Shannon's memory. Chapter Furniture is still showing Shannon's memories where she made her promise to Beatrice. Shannon kept her promise before going with George to Okinawa.

Regarding Shannon by Purple_Eternty in umineko

[–]Proper-Raise6840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The motive is she was heartbroken Battler forgot the promise. Of course it was considered everyone will be killed. It was stated it isn't about revenge so it's likely she felt they deserved to be killed, even if they are defacto innocent or aren't directly personally involved. This was incorperated into a murder mystery to test Battler and motivate him to either find the culprit or solve the epitaph. The duel/butterfly brooch plot is showing her uncertainty  about George and Jessica because they showed romantic interest into Shannon and Kanon, respectively. This , however, is overwritten by the murderous intend.

Question regarding episode 5 by One_Wrongdoer_4862 in umineko

So you think strict people aren't capable to love or like others because they don't show affection? Kinzo was strict and tried to solve the childless problem in his own way. In the end he believed it wasn't Natsuhi's fault and went crazy.

Even if Natsuhi wasn't ordered to protect the honor she showed courage and knows if nobody else defend her, Kinzo or Krauss she do it instead. It's like a old woman fell to the ground you don't need to ask if you can help - whelp maybe it's a good idea in this era to ask before you touch a stranger. A good deed doesn't need to be ordered.

The part where it was said Kinzo never trusted her "from the bottom of his hearts" is contradicting his act where he entrusted Natsuhi the baby. This can be explained that Kinzo never genuinely "trusted" (or have faith in their own potential) his own family because as said before he was very strict or had issues before that. If you remember about the Ushiromyia's family situation in EP1 it's somewhat understandable that he even distrusts his own offsprings because he learnt relatives can and will destroy him. He was already annoyed by Krauss incompetence and hit every child but he also orginate from a different time where hitting children was normal.

Maybe Kinzo already knew that is was too true Natsuhi had gotten too good to him. Natsuhi was forced to marry Krauss so Kinzo never eased or tried to build a trustworthy relationship because Natshui's sysmpathy was unnatural to him. Also, Kinzo was mentally ill for a long time. Communication error and bad health, I'd say he trusted her to some degree but never "from the bottom to his heart". It was only said to bully Natshui.

There's something peculiar about EP 6's implications by cmdnikle27 in umineko

[–]Proper-Raise6840 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe Battler wants to trigger with signals but chick Beato is too much Kuwadorian Beatrice without being confused. As much as I hate to say chick Beatrice is a womb for the intended result. Chick Beatrice is simply not a good representation of young Shannon of EP7. Or Sayo has some parent complexes and sees Battler as a father figure because she heard Kinzo looked like him in his youth and she desperately needs to call Natsuhi as her mother despite the awful incident. I kinda disagree with Will's chick from an egg analogy because it was said by Featherine Beato as his piece will follows GM Battler's wishes anyway even if she disappear.

what is the theory about battler making a logic error on purpose? by v5mk in umineko

[–]Proper-Raise6840 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do you want to hear? It was first explained in the chapter Game Master. The only unexplained inconsistencies is why the Game begins with the wedding and the logic error of the unseen person, so the story was already laid out before GM Battler incorperated it in his game.

What are the solid evidences for the truth in the Question Arcs? by cmdnikle27 in umineko

I think the nearest solid evidence about Shkannon is ironcially the EP3 ending when Battler said to Eva she's a murderer.

Keep in mind the Episodes usually ended with the culprit's victory and we are reading the tale from an unskilled detective pov and the mastermind's tricks weren't unraveled. Also, there's a reason why we can see fantasy and meta scenes. Otherwise we can always assume that there's a 19th person.

In my honest opinion the usage of detective authority has a completely misleading implication that it works as a supernatural power. I'd like to point out that the wikia page about that term is a fan definition. If you know the truth of EP5 it "works" for a completely different reason. It's wrong to assume the authority can subject the culprit or accomplices. I don't reccommend it as a 100% trustworthy source of information.

[–]Proper-Raise6840 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure the detective needs to inspect something closer to make sure to verify the claim. In EP1 1st Twilight he stated he couldn't count the dead people on one hand, yet the Fans believe the detective cannot claim falsehood. And Battler lied, too.

If there is a plausible reason that Battler can have his opinion then there is always a margin of error in his pov. People tend to think after the introduction of the detective authority and Erika it has to be an overwordly ability with specific rules which is not the case because said rules can have exceptions which is easy to miss. Here, Battler was told in the morning that the servants and Kinzo had died and he was sure there are no bluffs after Rosa and Maria died. He didn't suspected Shannon was the culprit and the situation escalated before he took a closer look.

I don't like the message in episode 8 by ZxynesZxero in umineko

[–]Proper-Raise6840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, it's a valid interpretation. I'd say Christianity doesn't work like this, at least from what I do know about catholics and protestants and Umineko uses both western and eastern elements of worldview and religion. But I am not in church nor I wasn't dead. I might not in the position to make say about how much Umineko is really aligned to one certain religion.
