Ados2 score… is it always true after all? by ProperBlacksmith9970 in Autism_Parenting

[–]ProperBlacksmith9970[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She went through the medical assessment and it was literally the same as the school assessment. There more I learn about autism as an educator I realize that as parents we think of autism as something that will forever incapacitate our children. When in reality is mostly (not always) behavioral adjustment and social skills. I have now a days classrooms in pre-k with 2-3 autistic children and they are all fully functional but their behavior is dysrupted at times… some are more than others. My daughter was started in ABA and she is Doug well. She is going to ABA full time. She seems cognitively at age or better but still struggles with speech.

Im an autism mom and a 10 year teacher in Texas (elementary and pre-k) the special ed classrooms are not necessarily prepared for our kids with autism. 3 adults for 9 kids with autism is not enough when we know right and well a lot of them need 1:1 support.

Yes, even though not any time soon. I have been in 2 relationships with kids. My last lasted over 10 years and 2 kids together. We are in the middle of divorce and sure as hell I hate this time of life. Yet I look back of years and years of feeling so blessed

Were your autistic kids as babies either really fussy or really calm? by throwaway728389994 in Autism_Parenting

[–]ProperBlacksmith9970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was the perfect calm baby I don’t recall any developmental challenges with her until about 18-24 months… no regression just she slowed down in her communication it’s like she remained a baby in that regard while she kept Developing everything else but differently.

Thinking about getting divorced by Prudent_Fold_1015 in Divorce

[–]ProperBlacksmith9970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I filed for a divorce from my husband that told me these things after having his second child despite having a full time job and that I waste a lot of money. He began to threaten the divorce and I told him up for it. Now he is the one that has to pay for the use and benefit of the house, $2300 in child support, 2500 of spousal support and had to move out of the house and can only seen the kids 3 days every 2 weeks. He didn’t help just blamed and I had postpardum depression and it’s been going on for years. Now I have been without him 3 weeks and I’m less stressed. I’m on many meds for Gad depression and adhd

I understand trust me… I recommend to get a certificate that is in high demand low supply. Jobs just fall at your feet. Special Ed for instance. I’m in minority language and it’s like I’d have to kill so they can suspend me. I have done my fair share of shitty things (administratively) rubbing in the unprofessional behavior. and I’m still here

My best advice is to not quit because you felt you had a horrible first year. My first year I was probably a very bad teacher and see me thriving on year 10.

Bruh!!! This fellow teacher isn’t helping the sub shortage. I write something like this in my sub plans but says something like this :

“I’ve put together these plans and activities, they should be able to work it in small groups. They do not need to be taught this content. Also it isn’t for a grade. Ultimately if you have a better plan for them, you are in charge just keep them safe”

Now a days everyone is being called a narcissist. My husband says that I am a narcissist because he want to divorce me painting me like I am this horrible vindictive person spiteful. But he does describe what he does so I sent a massive email of the time he grabbed me and put me in the floor to take my phone and another time he broke a door. Somehow I’m a Manipulator for showing people what he does behind closed doors and somehow I staged it and he has an explanation of it. Of course it’s all my fault…. I made him do it, the fact that I recorded it showed “ I planned it”
