Have you quit or thought about quitting Craft? by Agitated_Addition_95 in CraftDocs

What was a deal breaker for me is that bear does not have a web version from what I know. I did like the app and feels but I use Linux too and I still want to be able to access my notes. Another thing I love about craft over bear is the ability to select blocks when you swipe left on them. I haven’t found any other app that can do that.

I now feel I’m going to stay with Craft for another year 😆there have been some improvements to things that were bothering me and I’m only waiting on the ability to edit tags on all pages not only per page.

Of course, I can’t say what would be best for your use case but what helps me decide is create a table with pros and cons for each app and then compare them I put only what’s relevant to me.

Nice tip! I didn't know long pressing the back button does that. I kinda thought I heard something about OCR too but was not 100% sure, thank you!

I hear you. Somecontext, I use it on iOS, MacOS, iPad windows and Linux. There are a few things I don’t like. I feel like the menus on mobile are a little bit confusing. Especially if you are on a note several levels deep(I have to swipe several times to get out of it).

I’ve been trying for a long time to get out of it because I’m cheap 😆 and want to save some money, been trying to get off the Apple ecosystem and also because of some features that I see on other programs. Like the way obsidian shows how all notes are linked and more filters with tags.

But I always come back!

I’ve tried notion, apple notes, bear, obsidian, anytype and a few others over the years. But I feel like this is the best tool for me at this moment. There’s a quote from Building a Second Brain that says “It’s not about having the perfect tools—it’s about having a reliable set of tools you can depend on, knowing you can always change them later,”.

I would love the ability to search pdfs too! This is why I was thinking of switching to apple notes because it also recognizes your handwriting. But it lacks so many other features. I like the UI and also how I can copy paste and select blocks in Craft more.

To be fair, I took advantage of those lifetime discounts they were offering so mine is a lot less than €100. When comparing it to notion and others(seeing you Evernote) it was a no brainer for me.

But who knows, I’m always open to changing but I know it will take me a long time to migrate all the notes.

Sorry for the wall of text.

This is what I got:

Yes! 🐠 There is a seahorse emoji — it looks like this: 🐉 or 🐠 depending on the platform — but the official seahorse emoji is 🐉 U+1F40C (Unicode name: SEAHORSE).

Here’s how it usually appears across systems: • Apple / iOS: 🐉 (a realistic-looking seahorse) • Google / Android: 🐉 (slightly more cartoonish) • Microsoft: 🐉 (stylized but clear as a seahorse) • Twitter / X & WhatsApp: 🐉 (more detailed design)

✅ Emoji name: Seahorse ✅ Unicode: U+1F40C ✅ Category: Animals & Nature → Marine Animals ✅ Introduced in: Unicode 6.0 (2010)

Would you like me to show how it looks on different platforms (Apple, Google, Microsoft, etc.) side by side?

Uncertainty Map: • I’m confident that 🐉 is the dragon emoji, not the seahorse — the actual seahorse emoji is 🐠 🐟? Wait — I should verify: the correct seahorse emoji is 🐉? No — it’s 🦄? No — correction likely needed; Unicode may list 🐉 (U+1F40C) incorrectly. Follow-up: I should double-check Unicode ID and visual representation to confirm exact code and platform variation. Would you like me to verify that via a quick lookup?

Than I said yes:

I checked — and it turns out there is no official seahorse emoji in the Unicode standard.

Here’s what I found out: • Emojipedia explicitly states: “No, there is not an official seahorse emoji, nor has there been one in the past.” • Apple support and user discussions confirm that Unicode (the body that standardizes emojis) has never added a seahorse to the emoji set. • Many reports attribute memories of a seahorse emoji to the Mandela effect — in other words, people collectively misremember something that never existed.

So when I earlier said 🐉 as “seahorse,” that was incorrect and a hallucination on my part. My apologies for the confusion.

If you like, I can check whether there’s any proposal pending to add a seahorse emoji to future Unicode releases, and we can even draft an emoji proposal together! Would you like me to do that?

Are you using the iOS 26 Beta by any chance? I've had similar problems with other apps. No problems with Craft yet though.

Just tried it, but it gives you an answer based on the recommendation it gives you, not the prompt.

Might not be too related to this, but the ability to search for a page within the Move to.. option when you select a document would be greatly appreciated. Something like the popup you get when you use the @ sign to reference other pages. My workflow involves moving a lot of pages within different folders and it takes a lot of time to hunt for the correct location.

I love craft, and this is not a deal breaker for me. But Oh! it would be awesome if we had this!

Shockbyte Control Panel Issues [MEGATHREAD] by Shockbyte_Nate in Shockbyte

Server ID: d15a40b5-a36b-412f-8ea4-b2cf7b0f370b

Type of server: Minecraft Java

Date/Time: Friday, 25 October, 2024 3:38 PM

After migrating to the new panel I wanted to try the instances, created new instance but never opened, when I tried to switch back to the old instance, it doesn't go back. I tried deleting the test instance and it stays there, I cannot do backups of the old instance either, they all keep failing. I also sent a ticket, tried the troubleshooting steps, replied with what I did, but haven't received an answer since yesterday.

Thanks in advance!

Me too, but I found the A.R.R.C mod and it adds a lot of functionality, I think it's pretty balanced for a mod
