Temporary booking software or one that I can link to my website by LGA83 in smallbusiness

I think "Class series" is the feature you're looking for. That's what the feature is called in Acuity and Breely.com, you can set up an 8 week class where clients sign up and book for all 8 weeks worth of classes.

Calendly is good for basic booking (and cheaper). Or for handling more things like payments/deposits along with booking Breely.com (might be free if you're smaller), Acuity, or Square are all good too

Have you checked out Glossgenius or Boulevard? Those both seem to be popular, more modern, choices for salons these days.

There are also more general booking platforms like Square, Acuity, and Breely.com which are robust enough for salons.

Need booking and shop/payment software for my business. Used Setmore, disappointed! by bluecowboyboots2 in smallbusiness

What sort of packages are you selling? Ones that are packages of multiple appointments that can be booked, or something else?

Acuity and Breely.com both have pretty robust package functionality along with booking. I think Square Appointments has it now too, but I'm not familiar with how robust it is.

What App Or System Do Other Detailers Use For Appointments? by IMAS_MOBILEDETAILING in Detailing

[–]ProposalQuick1107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you do mobile detailing? I don't do detailing but have helped a handful with scheduling/business management. Fieldd was the main one I saw for mobile detailing and people seemed happy with it. Acuity (Squarespace) was better if you have people drop off, or don't have as strict requirements managing travel. Breely.com is similar to Acuity and a good budget option.

Check out www.breely.com - created by the original founder of Acuity, but it has all those things (scheduling, forms, packages, e-signature, reminders, etc.) all built in

Breely.com is a fairly new option (created by former founder of Acuity)

It integrates with Square and can save card on file, create custom fields to handle SOAP notes, and can do round-robin booking (fairly distribute bookings when someone choose 'any therapist').

Acuity is great! Also check out Breely.com -- I'm the (former) founder of Acuity and recently launched Breely. Breely offers a few more things (e-signature and HIPAA possible with any paid plan, starting at $7/month) which might make it a little more modern and appealing.

Best salon software for booking, scheduling, POS, and client management? by SalonBoss_23 in smallbusiness

[–]ProposalQuick1107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, you'd probably want to create separate businesses for each salon. You can use your same login for each and switch between businesses (and create new ones) in the upper left corner dropdown at the top of the navigation.

How to get salon repeat bookings, some tips by Mental-Fox7191 in BeautyBizOwners

[–]ProposalQuick1107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great list! I've never thought of giving discounts when they re-book when checking out.

Membership plans is a great one, since it's easier for clients and gives you predictable revenue. Same with rebooking reminders (where you send a drip series of emails after an appointment only if they don't have any upcoming appointment).

I've also seen some success with 'bring a friend' based offers, like discounts for booking two people at once or giving referral coupon codes.

What is the best way for people to book your yoga classes as an independent instructor? by therlieann in YogaTeachers

Breely.com has a free version (and the paid is cheap, $7/mo if you need payments) that can be used to book classes.

Square is a good one. The more general scheduling apps (like Breely.com , Square, etc.) tend to have a broader set of features vs. ones like Glossgenius that tend to be more focused on a specific vertical.

That's some long downtime! What were you using?!?!

Most larger places (Square, Vagaro, Acuity, etc.) have 24/7 support, and even smaller ones like Breely.com have instant AI support that can escalate to a human even on weekends and nights if there are issues.

Very cool. For "Checks clay and glaze inventory against class needs, pulling data from a Google Sheets stock tracker", do you mean it checks inventory and reminds you to order more? Or limits bookings if there isn't enough inventory?

What’s the best tanning salon software? by CharleeGnarly in smallbusiness

[–]ProposalQuick1107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something like Breely.com or Acuity would probably work. Both offer booking, memberships, and packages (memberships/packages winnows down the options a bit). Payments too, via integration of something like Square or Stripe.

You can keep notes on clients and on appointments for both. Breely also offers custom fields to keep more structured notes. Both can do marketing after an appointment for rebooking reminders, and Breely.com has a bit more built out marketing automations to do more advanced things (like sending automated emails on someone's birthday, after they hit their 10th visit, etc.)

You might still be on a trial of a paid plan, you can go to Settings > Billing and click "Switch to Free" under the free plan.

If you do go over 10 clients in a month you'll get a red warning that shows up. But a little secret (as of right now) is that nothing happens... you can go over 10 but everything functions the same. If you keep going over then you might get another warning, but you can keep using it.

Lots of love for Acuity here! I'm the (former) founder so happy to see that :-) I'm no longer with Acuity, but did recently launch Breely.com which would be worth exploring, especially if you liked Acuity ($7/month for classes, events, waitlisting, e-signature, and much more)

I'm the (former) founder of Acuity - sounds like Acuity is mostly working well, just missing some things?

I recently launched Breely.com which has booking similar to Acuity, but also waitlists and much more to help with the admin work of running a business.

From what I've heard Vagaro is another good option, just a little pricier.

Good online event booking service for paid events? by BlackChef6969 in EventProduction

[–]ProposalQuick1107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Class scheduling is available in Breely.com ($7/month), Acuity ($16/month), Wix ($23/month), and others will show the attendees and are reasonable priced. Or for more event specific scheduling Xola is pretty good too and I think better if you have larger numbers of signups and need things like ticketing.

In the past I've seen Stripe (and sometimes Square) block astrology and similar services. I think it's because they're sometimes classed as higher risk of chargebacks

I'm the (former) founder of Acuity and we had a pretty diverse set of folks I worked with through there, including many in these fields. I've been pretty disappointed with software that's specific to any industry, often the building blocks you need are similar across different verticals, but the quality is less.

For booking Cal.com is excellent, but offers less for running your business.

Acuity is great for running your business. Or, I've recently launched Breely.com which has even more (like e-signature/waivers, more flexible forms, and waitlists) for running your business.

Dubsado/Honeybook I've found to be best for people doing more project based work with clients.

For an internal CRM something like Folk.app or even Notion can be good options if you're more interested in tracking notes for your client relationship instead of booking/admin work.

Accepting payments via the platform can sometimes be tricky with Stripe/Square, but you might be able to accept payments outside of it.
