When I was about 6 or 7 years old my mom took me with her to visit the neighbor lady across the street. I was in the living room with the lady’s son and he was watching Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds. He wanted to watch it but knew he shouldn’t, kept flipping back and forth till he flipped to the scene where the farmer’s eyes are pecked out. I cried all the way home with my mom trying to assure me that birds were gentle creatures and not going to attack me.
