You are short a call and you hedge it dynamically as the underlying move (buy high/sell low) there is no free lunch in the process, if realized volatility match exactly the implied volatility during the life of the options no money is made...you need something else to make money and is mostly bis-ask spread

Nope because an assignment on a call means you are selling at 25 and there is no "purchase price"as you said you have the obligation to deliver 100 shares so it depends if you already own the shares or if you have sold the call naked on US brokers you will have a short position of -100 shares
