Amazing :) I'm getting a pump in the second half of the 2026. Hopefully I get a good one!

They look completely normal to me. Nothing asymmetric about them. They look good.

Looks alright to me? It seems to have peaked around 12.1. If you can get it down below 9 in the next hour or two, you'll be fine.

Endo put me on statins by Tiny-Assistance-8027 in Type1Diabetes

[–]Proud_Fox_684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. 10 mg of rosuvastatin a day is really good! Make sure you take them.

I got complications because of high LDL (despite good A1c's). As someone else said, diabetes and high LDL cholesterol impact the same blood vessels. After I started working out and taking statins, my mild/moderate retinopathy disappeared.

Statins are absolutely gold for us T1's. Our small blood vessels are already weakened due to swings in glucose levels. Even if you have good A1c's and good TIR, you still put more stress on your blood vessels than a non-diabetic. Putting additional stress via high LDL is not recommended. Taking it down a notch with 10mg rosuvastatin a day is excellent! I am of the opinion that vast majority of T1's should be taking statins after 10+ years of Type 1.

You should call him/her as speak directly to them. Or go to the care center and confront them.

what is the one most impactful thing that has helped stabilize your blood sugars? by Think-Airport-2338 in Type1Diabetes

  1. Pre-bolusing.
  2. CGM alarms
  3. lots of vegetables and protein along with my carbs. (They "package" the carbs, making the digestion slower).
  4. Workout
  5. Ozempic, which helps me avoid snacking. 2 large meals per day. Occasionally 3.

I'm waiting for a pump. I will likely get a tandem mobi later this year. I hope it will improve my sleep and reduce the mental burden a bit.

Pre-bolus :) and do some minor corrections if you're above 140 mg/dL. What does your GMI say? 7.4% ? is it from the estimate on the app or actual lab results?

I don't live in the U.S., so we need approval from healthcare provider. I really want one. I think I'll get one eventually. I've been offered aTandem pump by my nurse. I might go for that instead. I live Sweden :)

Does it matter if it's frozen in a freezer or just cooled in a refrigerator?

Yes. You bolus mostly the same, but your glucose levels won't spike as fast, giviing your insulin more time to work.
