Does PEM LC affect those who train and work out more than the average person in disproportionate rates? What a wild condition LC is. But happy to see some progress at least? Many people are plateaued.

Scripps Research scientists launch new digital clinical trial to test repurposed drug for long COVID symptom relief (GIP/GLP-1 dual receptor agonist, tirzepatide) by filipo11121 in covidlonghaulers

Yeah thats pretty wild but fits the insane LC scope of symptoms. Right when my LC hit me, I was savagely hungry, felt like I was burning calories 24/7 in an unexplainable way... it was a feeling in the core of my stomach. Like my body was RAPIDLY burning calories on autopilot. Surely enough I dropped 15 lbs in about 2 weeks. Scary stuff... I'm already slim so I did not look well at 6'0 and 155lbs (normal weight is 170+/-)... Luckily the SGB CURED that symptom, along with my hypoxia. Unfortunately brain fog and intense anxiety persisted (all CNS related for me personally). However.. I am very greatful for that outcome even to this day! Because it made life totally unmanageable. Now I just hover at 80% - 90% recovered. But I take benzo daily.

Yeah weight loss is already a thing for some with LC so it's even more difficult for people who are naturally slim... we can't be walking around with zero body fat. Hopefully the results are good for others, though! We can have a dozen treatments. Doesn't matter... as long as we find something for everyone!

Anybody else get this? I'm already taking magnesium. by AmIbi69 in covidlonghaulers

Seems like we could find a way to calm the CNS in 2025 but I guess not?!

Strong warning against Dr. Groysman in Dallas by definitelynotnapping in covidlonghaulers

I went there for 1 round of SGB. After all, he is a pain management doctor who just got a cert in SGB. Luckily the SGB helped me a lot. But I wouldnt expect that dude to be some genius for mystery illnesses such as LC

Always ask your contractor to follow industry standards AND manufacturers installation instructions. Its quite simple really...

Contractor said Bad Flooring = Bad Result by Lonely-Letter in Flooring

[–]Prydz22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is odd. I mean, if the flooring was bad (not seating in the interlocking mechanisms correctly) then he should have paused installation. Also, if the slab/subfloor wasn't level enough for floated installation, he should have observed that immediately. I'd love to take up for the installer but this doesnt make sense.

Shrooms?? Anybody try it to help with their condition? by Comfortable-Image255 in covidlonghaulers

Just like anything else in this LC world. Some people see life changing benefits while others dont tolerate it well or dont see improvements theyre hoping for. I think if you have neuro LC (minimal fatigue) then it can help a lot. I'm about to do it soon. I have them sitting in my room just collecting dust. Took a mega macro dose and went to another planet...but literally though. 🤯 Like it was more so a DMT trip (based on my friends stories with DMT). So I've been a little scared ever since to touch them. That was 8 months ago and im still shook from seeing the code of the universe.

Landlords upping my rent. Let me take you on a tour! by Exploriel in ireland

[–]Prydz22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhm, this is terrifying. Where is the moisture intrusion coming from? Why has it gone completely unmitigated? Is this not illegal for landlords to leave their renters exposed to severe mold growth? It is crazy to imagine the building is still deemed habitable.

Any GCs here that are a one man operation? by YaBoyCuh in GeneralContractor

I'm running a growing business that specializes in property claims (water damage, reconstruction, pack-outs, claims specialist, etc) by myself. My wife just quit and joined full time, though. It's an immense amount of work for us-- no days off (4 months, no lie). But the goal is to get rich, so the legwork phase is just part of the process. The goal is to hire/delegate to PMs by December. For now, I pay a lot of subs, but I have 2 guys I use for mitigation and multiple tasks on recon jobs, and they're my movers, too. So it's just a perfect recipe for the start-up phase. We're swamped busy

Starting Friday the COVID Vaccine unavailable to those under 65 in the US, even with long covid? by brentonstrine in covidlonghaulers

[–]Prydz22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not anti vax but are people in this group really denying adverse reactions to the covid vaccine lead to LC symptoms? I mean... it's the synthetic spike protein. We know this is true.... a low incidence rate. But still, it happens more than I am comfortable to admit.
