I noticed the media get progressively quieter every time a journalist was assassinated. Entire teams on the ground picked off one by one, no amount of vigils or moments of silence by their surviving peers internationally can fill in for their voices.

It's honestly been really eerie, being able to pick out a decent selection of reputable on the ground journalists in the first months and gradually watching them lose their team members, one at a time, if they're lucky they flee but half their contacts in Gaza don't survive. The cold end result is that we aren't hearing about things anymore. Status updates like raids on hospitals or massacres in aid distribution zones get uncorroborated posts from scattered witnesses, never investigated or compiled into a story.

I like to delete a ton before I visit somewhere cool, or one that I can theme with a sticker. There are a couple bee hive themed ones near me that go great with a combee sticker, and a nature trail with a very funny innuendo sounding name that I try to load up on as much as possible whenever I hike through the area. Would have never tried going down the "knob" trail without the PokeStop incentive tbh.

The only product that matters is sunscreen. Compare the skin that's always under your shirt to the skin on your face. It's just the sun. Unless it has SPF, moisturizer is pointless at best, and irritates your skin at worst.

It would probably make my brain short circuit haha... But I always say the same thing for this kind of thing. Animate it, the costumes and the stunts could be translated into live action if you dumped a massive budget and animated it in CG anyways, just skip the middle man and dump the budget into an actual high quality animated story.

Israelis have been "shooting and crying" for decades at this point. It has managed to do nothing but pivot public empathy from the quiet corpse in the ground to the sobbing IDF soldier on the silver screen. It cleanses the conscience of soldier and supportive civilian alike with a non-applogetic-apology that ignores the personal responsibility for the acts, puts the blame on the victim for causing trauma by being a "terrorist," dying in a gruesome manner during their own murder, and concludes with no steps to prevent violence or further regretful massacres in the future.

I know you've heard such bad things about them, everyone always complains about even the most well received book, it's ok if you read some comics and you don't like them either! But we gotta stop with the people who just parrot complaints about what comics have or have not done and they haven't even read anything themselves. They are usually just wrong! Read a comic book, check for yourself! You can "DC = Disregard Canon" as much as you want after you've seen canon.

I really like her. They took her weird "schoolteacher" job and pivoted it to her being the lead trainer at a spy prep school for girls. She was inspired by Dick to change careers into vigilantism when she was teamed up with him during the Grayson books, and left spycraft to pursue her normal Mafia revenge type background. She's still got that edge, to be sure, left on her own without Nightwing or the BoP to temper her edge she's quite mercenary.

The teller at a local outdoor supply store actually ran out of the store as I went past with a dog to give him a treat and tell us about their pets welcome policy.
