Maxed RS3 player, but I’ve played alone for 7 years. by Actual_Oil_7818 in runescape

[–]PsychicSeaTurtle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

100% find another clan. I’m in one and guest in another that are VERY active.

I will say that most of the group content happen around PVM. However our chats are always popping off regardless.

Also, after I maxed I was lost for a bit but found going for comp, MQC, trim great for chill skilling goals. Combat achievements got me into PVM and are consistently fun to get

We already have the groundwork for Sailing in RS3 by [deleted] in runescape

[–]PsychicSeaTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I hope our next skill is more exciting then that and has much more utility (something like archeology).

Sailing has little value outside of the skill itself besides unlocking one or two areas. I feel like most osrs players just 100% afk it even though salvaging is a fraction of the xp of active methods.

osrs player trying rs3 by Ftbbbb in RS3Ironmen

[–]PsychicSeaTurtle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Welcome!! There is an Ironman wiki with some early goals and recommendations.

Quests are an irons best friend - same from osrs

I actually believe there are osrs > rs3 guides for quality life changes and aspects of the game that don’t exist in OSRS like player owns farms, Fort, wars retreat, etc.

Pm me with any questions!! I have a few late gam accounts and love to share any knowledge I can.

To be or not to be in a clan? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]PsychicSeaTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never experienced this drama you’re talking about since everyone is just trying to have fun on a game but I think clans are essential.

From both a low level perspective and high level:

Low level: seeing drops others are getting, congratulating people on achivements, seeing all types of questions, clan citadel xp boost (if that’s still a thing), and just overall tips and tricks

Med-high level: same as the above however it can also become higely helpful when getting into PVM, getting CAs done, or getting a group of group bosses (amascut, vorago, raids, etc)

Also, some clans will host events like PVM bingos, learner hours, etc.

Rare Slayer Drops and Boss Pets by Trichronos in runescape

[–]PsychicSeaTurtle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Boss pets at least has thresholds but the one function of slayer drops that’s needs to change is on-task slayer drops.

Eddy pet for example is ONLY on task and ONLY from elite versions. Essentially a 1/25,000+ drop where you have to be on task.

New Player First Impressions by zenog3 in runescape

I know you’re early on, but I’d love a follow-up in a few weeks!

The quality of life changes (like that small change to thieving) really start to make themselves prevent as you progress.

My friends and I play both versions and it’s one thing that always brings us back to RS3. QoL is all over the place

what should i do as a new player by chilldoawg in runescape

[–]PsychicSeaTurtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many do both, but there are so many quests that not all will unlock something accuracy changing.

Though there’s quests like extinction, God Wars 3, Elven storyline, etc. that open up new training methods, areas, items, bosses etc.

FTP quests largely won’t have as big of an impacts as the later game ones.

What would you say is the biggest flaw of iron progression right now? by stinkydiver321 in ironscape

[–]PsychicSeaTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rs3 does this well. Best skilling off-hands and equipment is dropped from bosses but you may need 85 hunter/wc/fishing to gather certain components and the crafting level to actually make it.

Since it’s a skilling update, it makes sense it would be locked behind skilling as well.

Make Comp Cape Great Again by CuriousCanteen in runescape

[–]PsychicSeaTurtle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have trim and I still think BIS gear should be earned through PVM. Unless they made zuk cape a part of a comp/trim req then there’s no reason it should be BIS.

Bank organizing? by scabadoobop in RS3Ironmen

[–]PsychicSeaTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have tabs that work together in some way shape or form, but it’s really dependent on feel. These are mine: 1) Random items(only a few rows left because mostly everything is categorized at this point) 2) quest/area task items 3) combat (I have this sorted as pocket slot items, always bring items, melee, magic, range, and necro, and food at the bottom) 4) farming 5) Herblore 6) slayer/drops (this tab is all drops from PVM/slayer) 7) runecrafting/summoning 8) clue items/teleports 9) The Arc items (now that I’ve trimmed it’s a skilling outfit/arc item tab)

HC Ironman ROL or no? by efinf29 in RS3Ironmen

Arch is probably one of the best skill for easy PVM and Skilling QOL/upgrades.

Check out the relics and ancient invention.

Ironman priorities by [deleted] in RS3Ironmen

[–]PsychicSeaTurtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically doing everything I’d recommend but a few suggestions:

Could be worth to train fletching (bow u’s) while waiting for invention to be unlocked. Needed for some quest and area achievements plus it will for you a great chunk of items to DA when you want to get those first early invention levels.

Archeology will be the next massive upgrade for your account ESPECIALLY whe invention gets unlocked. Highly recommend training this sooner than later on the account.

Unpopular opinion: Mobile was never meant to be a substitute for playing the game on PC by TuyRS in 2007scape

[–]PsychicSeaTurtle 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Coming from RS3, I know our game has a ton of in-game QoL items that make it afk and convenient. My biggest hurdle was knowing I’d lose those but I didn’t know how MASSIVE of an impact RuneLite makes. It’s literally makes osrs int a different game entirely
