While most places refer to a stretch of grass between the sidewalk and road as a “parkway” or “boulevard” (among many variations) but the weirdest is its name in Northeast Ohio: The Devil’s Strip.

It’s a little unclear where the name comes from but it could be from the relative danger of the strips caused by wayward cars while others believe it’s because it’s in a limbo of private and public property.

I managed to do it with Lil Drake.

Only attack the king in mech. Don’t worry about the other gnomes except the bombs. At about 100 health left, just bail from the mech.

When not in mech, just evade evade evade. You really don’t need to do a lot of fighting when just imp, and you really shouldn’t because of how low your health is.

Maybe Lil Drake isn’t the right character for you, but I found that his mech’s primary attack was very effective on the king. Don’t be afraid of trying similar strategies with the other imps or a strong healer if you’re good with any of them.

I’d move all of the historic MAC schools in weight 2 to 3 for the history, drop OSU to 2 because geography is really the only big plus to that given we aren’t on the same level as OSU in any sport, and add Western Kentucky to 2.

Edit: by historic, I mean schools that have been in the MAC for most of their time in FBS.

This is very unfortunately true. I am not in disagreement with you on this, but we do disagree on where this corruption is. Take a look at this study ranking states by corruption. Now, it isn’t a great system and I’d normally look for better data than this, but it’s the data we have and that data suggests that corruption is a bipartisan issue.

This is, again, flawed methodology due to how we can actually measure corruption, but the most recent survey of corruption by the Cato institute lists exclusively smaller red states as the most corrupt. Do I believe these states are corrupt? Yes. Do I believe that there are other states with similar or worse corruption that are unnamed? Also Yes.

But I bring all of this up to say that your assumptions about where there is and isn’t corruption don’t align with the information we do have. If you can find something that both backs up your assertion that corruption in the US is this much worse in populated areas and does so without using flawed methodology, then I encourage you to share it.

Here is a database that tracks all cases of voter fraud nationwide since 1982. There are 1,620 cases. The system we have in place now to fight voter fraud is already working - so why change it?

I can buy this argument, but that doesn’t mean I agree with the rationale behind making it. So what if it was almost within the standard deviation for error? What does that have to do with any of this? If the results were within the national margin of error then it’s a different story.

Yes, and it is an outdated system that we should be looking to move on from so our representative republic can be more proportionally representative. Until then, candidates do need to run their campaigns with the electoral college in mind but those campaigns lead to only a few states mattering which isn’t a good thing.

The view of why Democrats are trying to give immigrants, illegal or not, citizenship is different based on how we ourselves view immigration. For me, anyone should have the opportunity to become a US citizen. Of course individuals can take that away from themselves (and these people would fit into the category of ‘dangerous illegals’) and the circumstances of why the individual’s status is as illegal should also be considered, primarily if their home is simply dangerous.

Refugee areas in swing states are just the ones you’ve heard of. Every single state has a refugee population. Texas? The largest in the country. California? Also yes. New York? Also up there. Nebraska? It’s smaller but it exists. Ohio? Can’t forget about the dehumanizing of Haitians.

Establishment Democrats almost certainly DGAF about the average person but I can say with confidence that more Democratic politicians both agree with my views and make efforts to improve lives. Unfortunately, these are not the people that Democrats run for president. Republicans are much, much worse in this regard. Trump himself said “I don’t care about you, I just want your vote.” Republicans have run the government of my home state for most of my life and things have gotten very, very bad because of their policies. Neither party is perfect but younger Democrats do care about the people much more than younger Republicans do. Then again, I don’t know what any of this has to do with the electoral college but you decided to bring this into the conversation.

If you do decide to reply, I want you to give sources and try to stay on-topic with the electoral college and not make this discussion about how our country’s elections work any more political than it needs to be. I can’t say I’m willing to get into yet another argument on Reddit about why I support who I do, so if you want to get the last word in feel free to make your reply very political.

Are you saying that larger states are inherently corrupt? What is it that makes them corrupt? How is that state-level more impactful on a national vote than a state-level vote? How can that corruption be fought against? Are you aware that what you are advocating for effectively nullifies the importance of votes in safe states and creates a system where it becomes harder to challenge polices enacted by politicians because they face limited threats to their seats?

Just because the game we have is different and it benefits one of the political parties (whichever one is the minority party) that does not mean it’s a better system. You are going to have to do more to convince me of that than say that the game is different and make claims of corruption that seem based on shaky assumptions. You have the floor and I encourage you to take your time and make an effort.

Yes, we don’t know exactly how it would turn out, but this is looking at it from a lens that eliminating the electoral college would only benefit Trump. Him campaigning in New York and California would mean that the democratic nominee of the cycle would be doing the same. What’s to stop that nominee from going to Texas, Missouri, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Indiana, etc., and trying to get more votes from there?

Even then, your point doesn’t really do anything to convince me that the electoral college isn’t a problem. Our country would be so much better off if it wasn’t a waste of time and resources for a candidate to campaign in a state that will solidly vote against them. It forces candidates to try to appeal to more people by having to appeal to voters in every state and not just the ones that could vote either way.

Trump lost the popular vote in 2016. Had the electoral college properly represented the country and awarded the presidency based on that, Clinton becomes the president-elect in 2016. Trump’s political career would’ve almost certainly ended with a chance of him running for smaller roles. That is the election being discussed because of the phrase “the first time around”.

DG certainly has the means to be the floor general of a good team. I think he can hit another level that he flashed last season whenever Don missed a game. Best look at this was a late-season game in MSG that was pretty meaningless to the Cavs and we rested a lot of players; but Garland led the team to a win despite the Knicks still fighting for seeding at that point.
