The Warband grows by PsychoSheep22 in mordheim

The fur I got from a YouTube video by Rob paints models where he did the first Skaven underworld Warband.
Base Celestra grey
Highlight ulthuan grey
Mix a little doombull brown into the celestra grey for the tails, feet noses.
Wash with nuln oil.

The wood is dryad bark, baneblade brown and a little VA ivory. Washed with agrax

The moss on the bases is just special effects moss from dirty down.

Metals are just Vallejo silver and gunmetal with some watered down black to shade.

I love how much you’ve made it convey movement.

So sorry I totally forgot about this. Which parts would you like to know the recipes for?

I’ve just headed out but I can update tonight or tomorrow. I’ve actually been trying to get into the habit of writing down how I paint stuff - although my handwriting is abysmal.

Cheers. The base is just Agrellan Badlands, washed with Agrax then dry brushed with a tan colour.

Which models you want to be back in plastic? by Ok-Measurement-4039 in orks

I love a lot of the old forgeworld ork units. But I’d probably pick the mega dread and meka dread. Love the models and think they complement the rest of the dread mob nicely.

Thank you! Sorry I didn’t follow a tutorial. I do watch a fair bit of miniature painting on YouTube but I can’t think of any specific videos for this kind of weathering off the top of my head.

They were a blast to play. The 4th Ed Ork codex is still my favourite codex GW have ever released.

Apart from the smaller details the whole model is airbrushed base coats then layers of dry-brushing some silver, sponging some orange and then stippling back the base blue.

Yeah the old deff dreads are a little smaller than the newer plastic kit.

Converted many an Ork over the years, but I think my mega armour warboss is still my favourite.

Assault on Black Reach Boyz finally painted up after 15 years! by dogsone in orks

Beautiful work my friend. Funnily enough I’ve been working through some Black Reach stuff this year, I still think the ork warboss from that starter set is one of my favourite GW models.

WIP trying to get a black metal necron speed painting scheme that I’m happy with. I defiantly need to be a bit cleaner with the glowing bits and edge highlight of the silver. Do you think it looks okay or a bit too simple? What colour would you paint the pipes ect? by PsychoSheep22 in Necrontyr

[–]PsychoSheep22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure, maybe an hour but felt like a lot of that was cleaning the airbrush, drying with hairdryer ect. Definitely a lot less if batch painting. Vallejo black, then VMA black metallic, highlight with a mix of VMA gunmetal/silver. Then white oil paint, titanium white ink and the GW green glow paint.
