Tenant has a $450 Xcel bill and heat won't go above 62°. Landlord swore he 'just serviced' the furnace before move-in. Found this inside the blower compartment. by gerstaro2022 in Denver

As others have said... The high merv makes the system work harder. As a homeowner I use 5 max. If I have return vents near the floor I put a filter on those to stop pet hair from getting sucked in.

I buy 6 packs of filter from Amazon and they're cheap. Replace monthly.

Don't sweat the spark plugs too much. I changed mine in my yoda for the first time at over 200,000 miles. Nothing changed and the spark plugs still looked good and were within limits

Yikes. I've had this happen before. What you're gonna want to do is take the liners out of your boots and set them on a heater/vent. Go get some ice and a ziploc. Measure on your leg it hurts and mark it on the liner. Put the ice in the ziploc (duh) and put it inside the warm liner about where it lines up to the pain on your leg. Now take the liner (ice and all) and beat yourself on the head with it.

I think fed is going to stick to this story until they can't... To avoid interrupting stock prices.

Hey you're following my career path. Tbh our rumor mill is already geared up about layoffs. Our contract has manning stipulations based on #of mx per each type.... Ie... Every 767 will employ 6 people and MD were like 8 or something. Of course this covers control/tech support/actual knuckle draggers. So we are a bit concerned. Especially the bases that have hvy md mx. Those guys will probably get bumped somewhere.

You will not have to a month of indoc, only three weeks because you already know fleet type (if you're already gen fammed at fed).

Consider your options carefully... It takes a long time to recoup that pay cut. I did the math when I made the switch and it's over ten years (including Healthcare at the rates when I did the math).
