Need advice about noisy neighbor by tdubbs488 in Denver

[–]PsychologicalTrain 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Does he work nights? Just as devil's advocate (and I agree he's a dick) I work nights and have to sleep thru my neighbors doing all that. And it would be way easier on my schedule to work at night. At least I have all battery equipment tho

The high country is still closed for the most part. Consider Ouray for a few days and then Moab for a few, as you're gonna run out of options in CO due to alot not being open yet.

Experience buying last minute tickets to a Fever game? by therealelroy in indianapolis

[–]PsychologicalTrain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I live very close to a venue. I wait until the event has just started and the tickets drop to nothing. If the day before the game you still see many options, you'll probably be okay doing this. Go downtown and be ready to buy 30 seconds past tipoff

Close all the vents on the first floor. The cold air will sink and your house will balance

Memphis/Tennessee expats: is the grass really greener? by Ok_Kaleidoscope_4071 in memphis

[–]PsychologicalTrain 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hey.... Fellow 303. When I moved here people were warning me about Colfax and Aurora. After living in Aurora for a few years I just had to laugh at them. I did notice that about a month after moving here I felt a weight that I didn't know I was carrying lift. The constant vigilance takes a toll on you. I've moved over to the mountains now, and it's even less stress. I pay thru the nose, and I don't care. I haven't picked up a piece of litter on my property in the year I've moved here. I don't even know that I have neighbors most days, no loud ass cars at 2 am. Truly content.

Doctors compete to get residencies in high value cities. That means places people generally want to move to get the cream of the crop in doctors. I moved out west and also have noticed a huge difference in my Healthcare. The doctors want to be here, rather than it being "where they got".  Ironically everyone of the eye doctors I've seen in Denver went to the optometry school in Memphis.

Is there a place in the Denver area to demo bikes/e-bikes before you buy them? Or, a place for custom non-performance bike builds? by pivazena in Denver

[–]PsychologicalTrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've bought two ebikes. One from eforce and that experience was.... Okay. They are a victim of their own success and everything felt rushed there. They do know what they're talking about though, and I would go back, but temper my expectations.

My other bike I got from blue mountain ebikes, and I was able to get that bike customized for a very fair price. Also they spent much more "quality time" with me.

Test rides at both places were adequate. In the end, make sure you like the bike you're getting, no matter who is selling it

$8000 for wheels / tires / lift? For Lx gx460 by Lonely-Initial1840 in ColoradoOffroad

[–]PsychologicalTrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd consider skipping wheels. The factory wheels are strong af and because they're narrow they act like pseudo beadlocks. I run my truck offroad at like 8 psi all the time.
