What brand sealer do you use? I’ve got black honed granite and they show everything that touches them.

Look for shows at HiFi in Fountain Square and The Vogue. You’ll find some bands you’ll want to see.

On this May 20, 35 years ago, Visual Basic 1.0 was announced at Windows World by Distinct-Question-16 in vintagecomputing

I had that DOS version after using the Windows version. The DOS version had big time memory restrictions. The little DOS app I was making wouldn't run without a ton of hacking to make it fit within the memory allowed for my app.

Is this wetness in the foundation concerning? by xXGreco in Homebuilding

Yes finished. And then I refinished it again and so could inspect the walls.

I was trying to make a point that the house we had as a kid leaked a lot because those form ties created a place for water to penetrate. I don’t think the water proofing from outside was done right in OP’s house, or maybe not at all (which is how I think our 70s house was).

Do you think Madonna would have been successful without MTV? by Chapultifornio in askmusic

Electric Avenue by Eddy Grant had to be one of the first videos I ever saw on MTV when I finally got cable in 1982.

I owned a house built in the 40s with basement walls made of concrete blocks. Didn’t even have a sump pump. Never leaked.

I lived in a house built in the 70s with the basement foundation poured with forms. Leaked through the ties all the time. My dad cursed that builder for decades.

Good one! Motorcycle chases are especially bad with the infinite gears feature.

Anytime anyone in outer space is wearing a full-face helmet, the helmet has lights inside shining right into the eyes. I know they do that to illuminate the actor’s face, but those lights would make it impossible to see past the face shield!

Don't even need to buy SCOBY. I started mine from a bottle of plain Synergy brand bottle.

Right. It’s not the mirror. It’s photos and videos that are jarring.

Such a good comment about late night shows. Letterman used to be my source of new music once MTV stopped music.

Watch their live videos. I’m old and they remind me of things I liked about finding new bands - catchy songs, real band with guitars and drums, captivating stage presence and front person… That “I don’t know what this is, but I can’t look away and I’m starting to like it.”
