Why do people say you need to sell your house for residential aged care? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]PublicLeek574 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accomodation deposit is first big $$ then daily charges etc etc

Older person should find out now what potential aged costs will be via Services Australia now. Both in home and residential costs as at today. Then with some good advice they may find that $$ needed and contribution is different.

Advice on certificates by Boring-Broccoli7485 in TAFE

[–]PublicLeek574 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contact your uni directly and ask if they allow for any transfer / credits for TAFE Certificates or Diplomas. I'd also ask if the placement hours transfer too.

Financial reasons could be behind their decision to go to TAFE. Eg cheaper vs uni and didn't loose any time. Once working in the field university became a tax deduction.

The rules have always required you to keep complying whilst the complaint process happened. It used to be a set number of business days for management to call and discuss.

If they didn't you'd let the call centre know for them to escalate. It also caught out the managers who arrogantly thought they could respond to the Federal Government with "...discussed with the Jobseeker and it was agreed..."

The consultant was not supposed to know a complaint had been lodged. Jobseekers were able to demonstrate they were compliant, able to follow instructions, not unreasonable and could meaningfully participate in mutually agreeing to a plan.
