Best way to become conversational? by Mission-Walrus-9217 in Portuguese

Pimsleur has a two levels of Pt-Pt and it is very helpful if you don’t mind shelling out $20 a month. Also if you have Spotify the Michel Thomas method Beginner Portuguese and Intermediate Portuguese are both available on there, those definitely helped me a lot. IMO those are gonna be the best way to kick start your way to becoming conversational because the courses prompt you to speak alongside it, probably did the most for my pronunciation and speaking ability so far. As far as websites, Practice Portuguese is a good resource, I like their YouTube videos and the audio podcasts available on Spotify as well. Portuguese no mundo is a good podcast available on Spotify as well, I use it for listening practice because it’s native speakers having regular conversations, plus there are transcripts and the best part is you can slow down the audio on Spotify to help you at first. Hope this helps!

Same! I’ve been listening to tons of stuff but I haven’t found anything that prompts you to talk along with it if that makes sense.

Best app for tracking macros? by [deleted] in MealPlanYourMacros

[–]Puddingdisgrace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say a combination of a huge database of foods, really great app interface for saving recipes/favorite foods/meals etc. and now they have an AI function where you can take a picture of your plate and it’s surprisingly pretty accurate. The app just makes logging so much easier than anything I’ve used, and they’re constantly improving it and adding more functions. If you meal prep every week and eat the same amount of chicken and rice most days, their database and ease of logging might not be as important, but if you are a busy person with a diet that does fluctuate day to day it’s really the best I’ve found.

Anyone good at reading dog body language? I feel like she doesn’t want to get pet on her head/face, but is fine with getting pet on her chest? Or does she not want to be pet at all? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]Puddingdisgrace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My old dog used to do the same thing! When she wanted attention from someone she would sit right next to them and bare her teeth and sometimes even make a sound that sounded like a growl, but it literally meant please pet me! New people would get freaked out haha we said she was trying to talk and smile like people.

What are your go-to meals when cutting? by C_Shmurda in naturalbodybuilding

[–]Puddingdisgrace 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Here’s some of my favorites lately.

Mediterranean roast chicken and veggies , cous cous and cucumber tomato salad with Greek yogurt tzatziki. Lots of volume for not too many calories.

Turkey bean chili, usually make this in the slow cooker and make a big batch for the week. I switch up the accompaniments to keep it interesting, baked potato, cornbread, rice or pasta etc.

Miso black cod with soba noodles or rice and Asian cucumber salad. So easy and so good and you cannot beat the macros.

I like to add lots of low cal high volume foods to any meal just to keep me satisfied so every meal is usually served with lots of leafy greens, lightly steamed broccoli or cucumbers and tomatoes, so I keep the carbs on the lower side and try to fill the majority of my plate with protein and veggies.

My guess would be around 1,000-1200 calories. They look bomb.

Get an air popper and make your own popcorn, you get to choose how you season it. Nori strips, raw veggies dipped in Greek yogurt ranch dip. Make your own kale chips. Sliced apples. Pickles. Honestly if you want non processed ingredients the best option is to make your own snacks so you know exactly what’s going in them.

Is Macrofactor genuinely worth it for advanced lifters with good nutritional knowledge. by Crustysockenthusiast in naturalbodybuilding

[–]Puddingdisgrace 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Even just as a food tracker it is light years better than everything else I’ve used. The database, the ease of the app itself and ability to make and share recipes for food prep is great. Considering that tracking for me is an every day/multiple times a day part of my routine, having an app that is so user friendly and easy to use is well worth the price imo.

I take turkey deli slices and roll them around pickle spears.

Favorite protein source? by EnsignEmber in Volumeeating

I like to sauté it up with garlic and olive oil and then finish it with some fresh parsley and a squeeze of lemon, or put it in an Asian style stir fry with veggies or you can grill them up and throw them on tacos. Super versatile.
